The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 221

“What are you two doing here?”

Theodore was stunned to see Penelope and Timothy.

Before Penelope could say a word, Timothy burst out, “You’re already married to my sister, and your wedding is in a few days, but what are you doing? You’re having a secret rendezvous with another woman! Theodore, you look like a decent guy, but you’re nothing but an animal!”

“Timothy, shut up! Let me talk to him!” Penelope tried to hold him back.

“What is there to talk about? You’re getting a divorce, right now!”

“We…”

“Don’t tell me you can’t bear to leave him! He’s cheating on you! Penelope, have some self-respect! There are plenty of other men in the world. Do you really need him? It’d be one thing if he were a decent human being, but he’s not!”

Penelope couldn’t stop Timothy’s tirade. When she looked back at Theodore, his initial shock had melted away. He was actually smiling, folding his arms as if settling in for a good show.

Seeing his reaction, Penelope immediately sensed something was off.

“What’s all the shouting about? Is everything okay?” a man’s voice called from inside the room. A moment later, Hamilton Amos appeared at the door, clad in a bathrobe.

Timothy’s jaw dropped. “Wow, you guys are into some kinky stuff…”

“It’s a misunderstanding!” Penelope quickly twisted Timothy’s arm to shut him up. “We… we have somewhere to be. We won’t disturb you!”

With that, she grabbed Timothy and tried to leave, but just then, security guards surrounded them from both sides.

One of them grunted in confusion. “Weren’t we looking for one person? Why are there two of them?”

“The person in the video was wearing a bizarre, colorful outfit. You couldn’t tell if they were male or female. It’s not these two,” another guard clarified.

That description…

Penelope’s mind instantly jumped to one person, and so did Theodore’s.

“What about this person?” Theodore asked.

“Oh, we think he’s a fan of Ms. Taylor’s,” a guard explained. “He snuck upstairs and was wandering around this floor for a while, but then he just vanished.”

A few minutes later, Penelope, Timothy, and the flamboyantly dressed Norton were lined up in the living room. Natalie and Hamilton were huddled together, trying to suppress their laughter, while Theodore stood by, chain-smoking with a thunderous look on his face.

“Your wife, your brother-in-law, and your own flesh-and-blood brother,” Hamilton said, unable to stop laughing. “Most men are lucky if they have one adorable troublemaker like that. You, my friend, have three.”

Theodore took a deep drag from his cigarette. “Yeah, I’m just dying of luck.”

Timothy pursed his lips. “So you’re not Natalie’s fan? You weren’t the one organizing all those fan events, attempting suicide on her wedding day, and vowing to wait for her to get a divorce?”

The computer he had hacked wasn’t Theodore’s—or rather, it wasn’t Theodore using it. It was Norton.

Theodore was speechless. “Do I look like that much of an idiot?”

“You’re insulting my love!” Norton protested.

“How dare you crawl under someone’s bed!” Theodore finally snapped, yelling at his brother.

“I—I just wanted to tell Natalie that this man,” Norton pointed dramatically at Hamilton, “is a total player, not worthy of her love!”
