The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 448

“I’m here to discuss a partnership.”

Mr. Temple looked surprised. They didn’t have any projects suitable for collaboration at the moment.

Instead of explaining, Penelope took out her laptop and showed Mr. Temple the engagement data and popularity metrics for the Mico robot.

Mr. Temple was even more confused. “I know Mico is a robot developed by Stapleton Tech. The story of it and its owner has been incredibly popular lately. To be honest, I've been following it myself, and I heard about what happened at the meet-and-greet. But… what does this have to do with a partnership?”

“Mico is being repaired and will be ready to meet the public again very soon.”

“So?”

“What if that meeting took place at a LUNA Group hotel?”

Mr. Temple’s eyes lit up. “Ms. Laurier, are you suggesting Mico hold a fan event at our hotel? That would be fantastic!”

It would be a huge boost to their hotel’s visibility and, consequently, their occupancy rates. It was a golden opportunity.

“As you know, Mico was designed specifically as a service robot for hotels. I don’t just want it to hold a meet-and-greet at your hotel; I’d like it to join your staff.”

“That… that’s even better!”

“And its companions, too.”

Mr. Temple was about to cheer again when he realized what she was getting at. Penelope wanted to sell them the batch of robots that the Bishop Group had rejected.

Noticing his hesitation, Penelope continued, “We could start with a trial run at one of your LUNA Group hotels. Right now, there is tremendous public interest in this robot. I believe that interest will lead many people to favor the LUNA Group when choosing a hotel.”

“But your robot recently injured someone. That…”

“The injury only occurred because a guest damaged the robot first. We will be releasing the results of our investigation soon.”

“In that case, perhaps we should wait until the results are public?”
