The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 454

A faint smirk touched Penelope’s lips as she kicked out, sending Mrs. Bishop sprawling to the ground.

“Ow, my back!” Mrs. Bishop cried out in pain.

“Penelope!” Yvonne, her eyes red with fury, prepared to charge as well.

Penelope settled into a fighting stance and beckoned to her.

“Come on, then.”

“Yvonne, don’t fight her head-on! Go get help!” Hans shouted from the floor.

Yvonne regained some of her senses and was about to run outside, but then she saw Penelope, completely unfazed, calmly take a seat on the sofa.

“Go ahead and call for help. I won’t be the one who ends up embarrassed.”

Yvonne snorted. “Just you wait!”

As Yvonne started to leave, Hans suddenly changed his mind and called her back.

“Grandpa, are we really going to let her get away with this?”

It wasn’t fear that stopped Hans, but a sudden, dawning realization.

“You… you’re not here to take possession of the house, are you? We had an agreement…”

“So you do remember. I was beginning to think you’d gone senile and forgotten.”

Hans had Yvonne help him to his feet, and he strode over to Penelope.

“The agreement was that although the house was transferred to your name, you couldn’t kick us out as long as we chose to live here!”

It was only because Penelope had agreed to that condition that he had signed the papers.

He had assumed that the Bishops would live here for generations, rendering Penelope’s ownership nothing more than a useless piece of paper as long as they never left.

“What? Grandpa, you signed the house over to her?” Yvonne exclaimed in shock.

“She forced my hand at the time,” Hans said grimly.
