Their Hidden Princess (Zora) novel Chapter 111

Kairos pivoted sharply, nearly colliding with a woman who had unexpectedly emerged from the shadows behind him. He opened his mouth to offer an apology, but before the words could escape, a hand adorned with long, pointed nails snaked around his shoulder. “Kairos,” Amara purred, her voice dripping with a mix of sweetness and something more insidious, “my betrothed.”

“Not now, Amara,” he retorted, frustration lacing his tone. “I’m not in the mood.”

She had the audacity to pout, her lips curving into a sultry frown. “Not even for your Princess?”

His heart lurched in his chest, caught off guard. He carefully pried her hand from his shoulder, letting it fall limply to her side. She stood so near that their noses nearly brushed; he could see the slight smudge of her lipstick and the way her wide, dark eyes seemed to glimmer with mischief.

“What do you want?” he asked, his voice steady, though a storm brewed inside him.

Amara hummed softly, her arms winding back around his neck as she leaned closer, her breath warm against his skin. “What do you think I want, Alpha?”

The way she addressed him sent a shiver down his spine, every hair on his arms standing on end. His stomach twisted in knots, utterly unresponsive to her advances. Just as he was about to tell her to back off, she shifted, her chin nestling into the crook between his shoulder and neck. Her tongue flicked out, leaving a damp trail along the side of his throat. The scent of rum clung to her, overpowering his senses.

“I’ll let you fuck me any way you want, Alpha,” she moaned into his ear, her voice sultry and low. “Raw, if that’s what you desire.”

That was the last straw. Anger surged through him, and he shoved her away, watching as she stumbled back, shock painted across her features. Her expression morphed from surprise to fury in an instant.

“You’re delusional if you think I want someone else’s sloppy seconds,” he shot back, his voice sharp as a knife.

Amara sneered, her confidence unshaken. “I am the Princess. I am your future wife—”

“Nothing about you is in my future,” he interrupted, his voice cold and resolute. “Consider the deal off.”

With that, he turned sharply on his heel, striding toward the back of the house, leaving Amara behind, her screech of anger echoing in his ears.
