Chapter 191
“Yadel Group’s been a household name in beauty for ages. Just one hiccup with the regenerating cream isn’t enough to dethrone them.” Sophia said.
No way they’re going bankrupt.
Annabelle shot her a glare. “Sophie, why are you rooting for them? Don’t sell us short!”
I’m just telling it like it is,” Sophia replied.
Annabelle slumped, face full of frustration. “So what now? Are we just supposed to stand by and let them make a comeback?”
“If bankrupting them isn’t an option, then let’s make Yadel Group switch hands,” Sophia said.
As long as the Westwood family loses control over the Yadel Group, we can slowly edge them out for good.
‘Let them become silent shareholders, keep watering down their stake until they’ve got zero real power in the company,’ she wondered, ‘Eventually, Yadel Group won’t be connected to the Westwood family at all.’
But if they went down this path, it’d take ages–Sophia thought to herself, ‘No way am I wasting my whole life tied to this marriage.
Annabelle grinned and said, “I’ve been making easy money off the Westwood family’s mess lately. When their stock nosedived, I grabbed a chunk of their shares. We’ve got 6% now.”
6%?
But with the Westwood family still holding 55%, even if they snatched up all the remaining shares, it wouldn’t be enough to wrestle control away from them.
‘Basically, it’s barely a drop in the ocean,‘ she wondered.
“First things first–I’m taking back my freedom. I never want to cross paths with Lucas ever again,” Sophia said. firmly.
Divorce couldn’t wait any longer.
Richard walked in, and the moment he stepped through the door, he could feel that the mood in the room was thick with tension.
He arched an eyebrow. “Did I miss something?”
Annabelle hopped off her spot by Sophia’s bedside. “Well then, Uncle Richard, I’ll leave you two to whatever this is.”
She scooped up the thermos and made a beeline for the door.
Before she slipped out, she threw Sophia a sly wink, clearly telling her ‘Girl, don’t blow your chance!‘

Chapter 191
Richard settled into the chair beside her
Now that Sophia had finally eaten, she looked much more vibrant.
“Do you want to get some more sleep?” Richard asked,
Sophia shook her head. “I want to get out of bed and walk around a bit.”
After five days lying in bed, her whole body felt stiff and sore–all she wanted now was to get up and move.
Richard stood up. “Let me help you get out of bed.”
Before Sophia could even say a word, his hands were already on her arms.
Her summer clothes were practically paper–thin.
Sophia could feel the heat of his broad palms through her sleeve, the warmth radiating off him so strongly that even through her thin clothes she could tell how intense–and possessive–his grip was.
Richard was tall and built from years of working out, and with someone as strong as him by her side, Sophia felt completely surrounded, almost like he could scoop her right up into his arms.
Every breath she took was saturated with his crisp ocean air and mint scent–commanding, almost possessive, making it impossible for her to ignore.
Richard kept a courteous distance, but inside, he burned with the urge to crush her petite frame to his chest and never let go.
That desire had surged up countless times lately, and just as many times, he’d wrestled it down with sheer willpower.
He still had to hold back.
It wasn’t fear–he just knew that once he broke through his self–control, there’d be no turning back; he’d want more, and more, unable to stop himself.
It started with a hug, then maybe a kiss–and after that, no one knew how far things could go.
He worried that if he let these feelings slip out now, he’d end up scaring her away for real. And if she bolted, how would he ever get her back?
Sophia could sense how tense his whole body was, like he was trying hard to hold himself back from crossing the line.
She kept her breathing light, careful not to make any sudden moves or let her skin even graze his.
But no matter how hard they tried to avoid touching, trouble always seemed to find a way.
Sophia slid her feet into her slippers, but after days stuck in bed, she was still wobbly.
Before she knew it, her legs gave out and she stumbled forward.

Chapter 191
Richard moved lightning fast, scooping her straight into his arms–their bodies pressed so close, not ever a breath of air could squeeze between them.
Sophia froze, the words stuck in her throat. ‘Why is my heart pounding like crazy?‘ she thought, feeling her heartbeat go wild.
