Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 307

“All this chaos over a dog?”

Juniper let out a mocking laugh. “Have you forgotten how he treated that dog?”

At the Ford Group’s grand eightieth anniversary gala, he actually carried that mutt into the spotlight himself, right in front of the press. In front of everyone, he declared that dog was his brother-in-law.

“Just a dog? That’s Landon’s brother-in-law, remember!” Juniper’s voice cracked as she shouted at Noelle.

Noelle was reminded of how Landon used to dote on that dead dog in public—like it was his own child.

No matter how much she hated to admit it, she couldn’t ignore that fact anymore.

“Dad, even if that’s true, Ford Group still broke the contract. The penalty fees alone… Even if Landon agrees, the rest of Ford Group won’t.”

Juniper, snapped out of her frustration by Noelle’s words, realized she was right.

“Yes, you’re right. All our deals with Ford Group are massive projects, worth hundreds of millions. If they pull out now, the penalties would drain their cash flow. The board would never let that happen.”

Thinking this through, Juniper finally breathed a little easier. He immediately called his assistant.

“Send me a full list of our contracts with Ford Group, and get the finance team to calculate all the penalties. I want those numbers now.”

There was a pause on the other end before the reply came, “Understood, Mr. Jensen. I’ll get them on it right away.”

After hanging up, Juniper slumped onto the sofa, silent and exhausted.

At the mention of the last condition, Noelle couldn’t help but frown. Still, facing the threat of the Jensen family going under, she nodded, albeit reluctantly.

“Okay, Dad. I get it. I won’t upset Landon again.”

She remembered the way Landon had looked at her that day—not warm, not indulgent, nothing like before. For a moment, she felt a pang of guilt and anxiety.

Meanwhile, the finance team at Infinity Structures Inc. worked fast. In just a few minutes, they’d totaled up all the penalty fees for the Ford Group projects and sent the numbers to Juniper’s phone.

He opened the message, glanced at the total, and his face instantly went pale.

“What? Only a million? Is this some kind of joke? How did they even come up with that?”
