Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 101

Later, Noelle walked over to Nicola. "Did you want to tell me something just now?"

The way Nicola had been hesitating made Noelle think something was off.

Nicola shook her head and forced a smile. "Ms. Quinn, since I'm handling logistics for Flame Speed Racing now, would you mind if I bring you your water from now on?"

The smile she plastered on her face was unwavering. "You've helped me so much. I don't have much to give back, so at least let me handle the small things."

"I haven't really helped you." Noelle brushed it off. "All the progress you've made is from your own hard work. And besides, what we had was at most a deal, not charity."

She patted Nicola on the shoulder. "Don't stress yourself out."

Nicola's nose stung. She could tell Noelle was a saint, yet inside, she was still torn up.

Meanwhile, Lola had listed all of Zayne's rare toy models on a second-hand site. They sold out almost instantly, and some buyers even asked if she was a big shot in the industry.

However, Lola didn't let it get to her head. She had the USB drive she'd pried from one of the toys checked for viruses. Once it came back clean, she plugged it into her own computer.

As soon as it went in, a chat window popped up. She could just go online and log in. A list of contacts filled the sidebar.

Lola had no idea what it was, so she opened a locked folder on the drive. Trying Zayne's birthday as the password worked at once.

The moment she glanced at its contents, she was stunned. Detailed plans and procedures for car mods came into view.

She was only an amateur racer who wasn't deeply into tuning, but she recognized several of the designs immediately—they were famous in the scene. Male drivers in her team often cited them as benchmarks.

One of them was even the legendary "Rella", a modification that had once shaken the industry.

"W-What is this?" Lola muttered to herself, her fingers trembling and her jaw slack. "This was the USB drive Noelle hid in Zayne's toy. Could she be the one behind these mods?"

She almost laughed out loud. How could that be? There was no way a housewife like Noelle could design the hottest cars in the country.

She was almost certain that Noelle was Quake.

"But if Quake's name carries so much weight, why did Noelle keep it hidden?" Lola mused, unable to wrap her mind around it.

A cackle almost escaped her lips as she reread the conversation.

"They don't even know if Quake's a man or a woman. That makes it easier for me to play the part," she said, snickering.

"Oh, Noelle… You saved all this for Zayne, but I'm already one step ahead of him. It's not like I'm wasting your efforts, though. With this proof of identity, even if you discover the truth later, you won't be able to stop me."

Her expression turned smug. "I don't know if you're naive or just stupid. Either way, the victory is mine."

"I can't reveal my identity. Send me an invitation. If I'm free, I'll come." She typed back.

Lola didn't even feel like she was putting on airs. After all, at this moment… She was Quake.
