"The suggestions that Ms. Lucy gave for my schematics were very useful for my company," Asher said. "We finally had a solution for our problems. Your modifications are so professional, Ms. Lucy. You're much more amazing than I am!"
Asher's voice was dripping with sincerity. Noelle could tell that he truly wanted to thank her.
A chill ran down Lola's spine upon hearing his words. She knew that Asher had great modification skills, but she didn't expect that Lucy was even more skilled than him.
Noelle smiled lightly. "I'm no professional. I'm just a little interested in modifications. Quake is the real professional here."
Lola frowned. Although there was nothing amiss with Lucy's words, Lola couldn't shake the feeling that her tone sounded a little odd.
Noelle's smile widened before she continued, "If you run into any trouble in the future, Mr. Miller, you can just ask Quake for help."
Lola rushed to explain, "I like to keep my personal and professional lives separate. Asher and I rarely talk about modifications when we're together."
She looked at Asher bashfully before continuing, "Besides, we always feel like there's not enough time when we're together. We wouldn't waste it talking about modifications."
Asher nodded in agreement. After he got together with Lola, he rarely asked her about modifications. His pride was one of the reasons that stopped him from doing so. He didn't want others to say that he was only able to continue working in the modification industry because of a woman.
Noelle's lips twitched. She didn't expect Asher to be so easily deceived. He believed her despite how flimsy her lies were, but he had no one to blame but himself for his stupidity.
She wasn't obliged to teach Asher how to be a smarter person. It was fine as long as everything was still going according to plan.
Noelle had no desire to linger since she had achieved what she had set out to do. Just as she was about to leave, she spotted Felicia, causing her to halt her footsteps.
Felicia was dressed from head to toe in branded clothes. She carried herself flamboyantly, and she was covered in jewelry. She practically had a sign that read, "I'm a wealthy woman" flashing atop her head.
It seemed that she had escaped the crisis that had befallen her some time ago. After all, the person who had been imprisoned was Shannon. She wasn't involved in Shannon's crimes, so she could continue living luxuriously as long as she stuck close to the Haberkorns.
Felicia seemed to sense Noelle's eyes on her and looked in her direction. She didn't seem bothered when she noticed that a foreigner was looking at her. Knowing that everyone who received an invitation for today's event was no ordinary person, Felicia smiled at Noelle.
Noelle's lips twitched upward before she left with clenched fists. She was going to send Felicia into the pits of hell one day. Shannon wouldn't have dared act so outrageously if it weren't for her.
Unfortunately, Noelle couldn't take action against Felicia just yet because the Haberkorns were supporting her. However, she had sworn to herself that she wouldn't allow the Fawcett sisters to slip through her fingers.
