Just then, Noelle's cool, languid voice drifted over the broadcast system. "Time-wise, I've won, Bruce. But since today has no time limit, I'll wait for you to finish and let the judges decide then, for the sake of fairness."
Bruce gritted his teeth, feeling insulted by Noelle again. The rest of Team Moriane felt the equal sting and wondered what a monster she was to outpace their entire team.
"Quake, speed alone isn't enough in modifications. I think we should focus on quality, so don't celebrate too soon. If what you've made is just a pile of junk, that'd be truly embarrassing," Bruce mocked.
His words were both a taunt and a stalling tactic as he refused to admit that their whole team was less efficient than one woman.
Noelle responded with a cold laugh and returned to the lounge for some food and drinks.
Before long, Team Moriane completed their modifications, just in time for her to finish her meal.
When she emerged from the lounge, refreshed and full, many news reporters were still camped out. They were afraid of missing a scoop, though some had left or changed shifts. Staying on duty all day was no easy task.
Even Asher, upon learning the opponents used military materials, had secretly slipped away to avoid potential humiliation.
When Bruce and his team finally appeared, Noelle yawned. "Why did it take you so long? Since there are several of you working together, you shouldn't be this slow, right?"
Bruce and his team's expressions turned ugly at the deliberate jab.
Mike coldly said, "Modifications are about skill, not just efficiency. Let's see your work, Quake."
Noelle waved them in, looking unbothered. "The car's inside, so go ahead. The judges are already there."
At that, Team Moriane eagerly rushed in to witness her creation.
Upon entering, they noticed the three judges exclaiming in admiration over Noelle's modded car. Even Larry, the academician, was visibly impressed.
His eyes shone with admiration as he exclaimed, "This is incredible! Not only is it technically deep, but it is also conceptually groundbreaking. It's a model case study."
