"We'll do as Ms. Quinn says then," Jamie said.
Jude's expression darkened. "A mistake on the job and a deliberate act are two completely different things. We're the national team. We will never tolerate something this malicious."
He was clear-headed about it. Strict discipline wasn't just for appearances—it was for the team's survival. No single person, or even two, could be allowed to jeopardize the safety of everyone else.
Sam was furious, his eyes burning with hatred as he glared at Noelle. "Ms. Quinn, you'll regret your reckless arrogance!"
He tried to drag Ivan out with him, but Jude had already ordered security to escort them away separately, making sure they had no chance to coordinate their stories.
The meeting ended there. Noelle walked over to Arthur. "Let's go over tomorrow's strategy together. I'm sure you saw how many rivals had their eyes on us during today's qualifiers."
Coincidentally, he had been wanting to speak with her as well, so the two of them left together.
Before leaving, Noelle cast one last look at Jamie. The sharpness in her eyes cut straight into him, making him flinch and lower his head. He didn't dare meet her gaze.
She gave a cold snort and followed Arthur out.
She was a hacker who could crack phones, computers, and surveillance systems. Of course, she knew Jamie was the mastermind behind the sabotage.
However, removing him outright would have caused backlash among the team, so she chose instead to call for an investigation into Sam and Ivan. After all, having those two testify would be far more convincing than presenting the evidence on her own.
Arthur noticed the look in Noelle's eyes. After the two finished discussing their strategy, he glanced toward Hunter, who had been waiting outside the door, and asked in a low voice, "Do you already know who was behind this?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Of course. Otherwise, I wouldn't be standing here talking strategy with you. I trust you're not stupid enough to make the same mistake he did."
Arthur had to admit that deep down, he felt a twinge of jealousy toward Noelle, especially after seeing the overwhelming support she received.
He envied her connections and the scale of her influence, but at the same time, he couldn't help but admire her skill. Having once been the team's lead driver himself, he understood better than anyone how hard it was to reach her level.
As for Jamie, the fact that he would endanger a teammate for personal gain was something Arthur could never condone.
If Jamie could betray Noelle for profit today, then one day, Jamie could just as easily betray him too. So, Arthur quickly made his stance clear. "What's your plan for handling this?"
Noelle shrugged, calm as ever. "Handle it as it should be handled. I'll never forgive anyone who tries to harm me. All I want is to race. I'm not here to steal anyone's spotlight. But targeting me like this? That's crossing the line."
