Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 112

“I’m tired, too. Go downstairs and tell the guests for me. They can eat and drink as they please. They don’t need to worry about me. I appreciate their good wishes.”

Liliana was deeply moved. Regardless of how the rest of the Cooper family treated her, Old Mr. Cooper’s affection had always been genuine. Her lips parted, and her voice choked with emotion as she spoke, her eyes red. “Grandpa Cooper, don’t you worry. I’ll come back to visit whenever I have time.”

“And if you miss me, you can always call me.”

Old Mr. Cooper smiled without a word, simply nodding at her. Liliana saw the helplessness and exhaustion on his face. She didn’t have the heart to say more; no amount of words could change the fact that she was leaving Linton.

As Liliana descended the stairs, she found Mrs. Cooper pointing a finger in Linton’s face, scolding him. “What did I tell you when you were little? Didn’t I tell you to take care of Isabella? She’s your sister, and her parents saved both our lives!”

“Linton, you can’t be ungrateful! You have to repay that kindness! How could you let Isabella be treated so poorly?”

Mrs. Cooper’s shrill, relentless nagging filled the air. “I know you have feelings for Liliana, but if she truly loved you, she would understand and help you take care of Isabella and her child, not throw a fit and cause trouble!”

Isabella stood nearby, a troubled expression on her face. Her voice was gentle and soft. “Mom, please don’t be so hard on him. He has to take care of Liliana, too. It’s not easy for him.”

Through all of this, she never once offered to say that she was a grown woman with a child of her own and no longer needed her brother’s constant care.

Liliana’s gaze swept over the scene dispassionately. She saw Linton frowning, his handsome, stoic face suppressing a flicker of irritation. Her steps faltered for a second. Suddenly, she felt that Linton’s life in this family wasn't so easy either.
