Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 144

Mrs. Cooper had never been subjected to such humiliation.

She was so incensed she felt her vision swim, on the verge of fainting.

Her maid quickly supported her, whispering, "Ma'am, please don't argue with her. You can't win, and you'll only upset yourself. Besides, the young master wouldn't be happy to see you fighting with her. This time he only sent you abroad, but next time..."

The maid's unspoken warning was clear.

Mrs. Cooper clenched her jaw and shot Liliana one last venomous glare. "You'll get what's coming to you. Don't think I can't do anything just because I'm going abroad. We'll see about that!"

With that, Mrs. Cooper spun around and stormed off in a huff.

Liliana turned to Aiden, her expression apologetic. "I'm sorry you had to see that, Aiden."

"It's nothing, I don't mind," Aiden replied.

After a moment, he asked curiously, "Was that Linton's mother?"

Liliana nodded. "That's just how she is."

Aiden smiled faintly. "It must have been hard for you all these years, Liliana."

"Ah, well, everyone makes mistakes when they're young," Liliana said with a dismissive wave of her hand.

"It's all in the past."

An announcement echoed through the airport, signaling that their flight was now boarding.

Aiden checked the time and smiled.

"Let's go, it's time to board."

Liliana grabbed her luggage and stood up. She and Aiden joined the queue to have their tickets checked.

Just as they did, Linton rushed into the terminal, hearing the same announcement. He stopped short and called out, "Liliana!"

The bustling airport was a cacophony of voices and noise; no one responded.
