Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 220

A normal human being?!

Liliana suddenly realized that insulting him was pointless. This monster seemed to get off on it. She didn't want him to actually die of pleasure.

She couldn't be bothered with him anymore. She pushed him again, trying to reach her phone. "Go tell that to the police. I'm sure they have plenty of experience dealing with perverts who break into women's bedrooms at night."

"Hiss—"

Linton sucked in a sharp breath of pain, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Liliana turned back, her patience wearing thin. "Would you just—"

The words "stop playing the victim" died on her lips. Her eyes flew wide open.

On Linton's white shirt, spots of crimson were beginning to bloom.

He gave a slight grimace, forcing himself to endure the pain. He wrapped his arm around Liliana's slender shoulders again, nuzzling her fragrant neck. "Please, Liliana. I told you, just let me hold you for a little while. Just for a second."

"I really miss you so much. Let me hold you... I'll leave right after."

By the end, his voice was so low and desperate it was almost a plea.

Liliana's gaze dropped to the crimson stains on his shirt.

She pressed her lips together and pushed herself up on her arms. "Leave."

"I told you, don't die in my bed."

The girl's expression was so cold, so detached, it was almost inhuman. She clearly didn't care if Linton was hurt or in pain.

Realizing this, Linton's eyes suddenly reddened. "Aren't you going to ask..."

"No."

Liliana didn't even hesitate.

Linton's fingers clenched into a tight fist. A smile stretched across his pale lips. "Fine. Don't ask."
