Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 343

Linton was fully prepared to disappear from Liliana's world the moment she recovered from childbirth. He had no right to ask for her forgiveness, no face to stand by her side.

But at the very least...

A bitter smile he couldn't control twisting his lips. At the very least, he wanted to leave something of himself behind, something that could stay with the baby in his place.

It didn't matter if his child never knew he existed. It would be a small token for him to hold on to.

Liliana’s gaze fell to the plush rabbit in his arms. It had to be at least four feet tall, a massive thing.

A child could cuddle with it until they were five or six, old enough to understand things.

She scoffed inwardly. His not-so-subtle intentions were painfully transparent.

She held out her hand, her voice cold and flat. “Give me the rabbit.”

Linton froze, not understanding. “Liliana, what are you doing?”

Her eyes widened, her tone hardening with an edge of steel. “Give it to me!”

He couldn’t fight her. His resolve always crumbled when she was insistent. If she had to repeat herself a third time, he knew what was coming.

It was a conditioned reflex from their school days, when a countdown to three would end with her fist connecting painfully with his side. His muscles reacted before his brain could.
