Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 342

Linton's heart was a knot of pain and a strange, twisted joy.

Gabriel couldn't even look at him. He curled his lip in distaste. “Wipe that smile off your face. Anyone would think you’re a masochist.”

Linton blinked, instinctively touching his own face.

The rough pads of his fingers met the curve of his lips, and he realized with a jolt that he had, in fact, been smiling.

His mind drifted again.

Just beyond that wall was the woman he loved, carrying their child. The smile returned, wider this time, impossible to suppress.

Gabriel stared at him, a shiver running down his spine. The sight was genuinely unnerving. “Man,” Gabriel said, his face a mask of indifference, “you’re being creepy.”

Linton just arched a brow, smug. “Don't worry about it.”

“Don't flatter yourself, I have no intention of worrying about you,” Gabriel shot back, his tone hardening. “Just don't forget the promise you made when I brought you here. I'm only allowing you to stay for these two months. Once the baby is born safely, you'll crawl back to wherever you came from and stay far away from Liliana.”

His face was stone. This wasn't a warning; it was a threat.

Linton’s gaze drifted back to him, a lazy smile playing on his lips. “You know, you’re just like your sister.”

So, they both saw him as a disposable tool? Use him and toss him aside?

“I'll take that as a compliment,” Gabriel said, turning on his heel and walking away, his posture radiating cold authority.

Linton's expression darkened.
