Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 360

The next day, Liliana received a fluffy white bunny.

A live one.

She carefully cradled the tiny creature, no bigger than her palm, in her hands, completely stunned.

After a long silence, she looked up at Gabriel in disbelief, blinking her eyes in confusion. "What is the meaning of this?"

Gabriel handed her a box of rabbit food. "I bought you a little rabbit to raise. It'll give you something to do, so you won't be bored in bed all day and unable to sleep at night."

"I heard that for people with insomnia, getting a pet can be helpful. A fluffy little companion can lift your spirits and improve your mood."

Liliana lowered her gaze, meeting the eyes of the trembling little white rabbit in her palm.

She gave a wry smile. "People usually get cats or dogs. Gabriel, why did you buy a rabbit?"

"Is there something wrong with a rabbit?" he retorted coolly. "It looks a bit like you."

Liliana was even more speechless now. "You bought it just because it looks like me?"

"Gabriel, if I were to get a pet, I'd much rather have a cat or a dog. At least they make noise..."

"Well, it's already bought," he said soothingly. "Just keep it for now. If you don't like it, we can give it away later."

The truth was, he hadn't bought it.

He was just the middleman, the delivery guy. How was he supposed to know what possessed that man to buy her a rabbit?

Gabriel's eyes flickered with a hint of coldness.

Yesterday, he had casually mentioned to Linton that Liliana was having trouble sleeping. Linton had gone silent for a few seconds, then gave him a thumbs-up and said he understood.

Then he went out and bought a white rabbit to be delivered.

Gabriel was at a loss.

What exactly did he understand?
