Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 70

Mrs. Cooper’s tirade painted Liliana as a spoiled, destructive girl, solely to blame for the entire situation.

Mrs. Hart stepped in front of Liliana, her face hardening. "Mrs. Cooper, if you don't know how to speak, then shut your mouth. Who do you think you are, pointing fingers at my daughter?"

"Instead of blaming my daughter for wanting out, why don't you ask your own precious son what he did to hurt our Liliana so badly!"

Mrs. Hart had never liked Mrs. Cooper. She had tolerated her for the sake of their families' connection, but that was over. Now that the engagement was off, she wasn't holding back. She had a long list of grievances against both mother and son.

Mrs. Cooper's face flushed with anger, her chest heaving. "What about my son? He's one of the best men you could ever find! To be frank, the fact that he was even willing to be engaged to your arrogant, spoiled daughter was an honor for her. You people should be grateful, you ungrateful bunch!"

Mrs. Cooper's face twisted with disgust, and she opened her mouth to hurl another insult.

Liliana's cold gaze sliced toward her. "Grandpa is fighting for his life, and you're screaming in the hallway. Are you trying to make sure he doesn't recover? This is a hospital. If you can't be quiet, I have no problem asking security to escort you out."

Liliana quickly scanned the crowd but didn't see Linton.

Mrs. Hart noticed and explained, "Logan got a fever again. Linton drove Isabella to take the boy to the hospital first. He's bringing her over after."

As if on cue, Isabella's soft, gentle voice sounded, laced with panic and worry. "Mom, I'm so sorry I'm late. How is Grandpa?"
