Chapter Ten
Asli's mind raced, replaying all their earlier conversation. "How did he get the upper hand?" she wondered, frustration simmering.
'Did the bastard call to find out if she received his package? Why didn't he mention the package when he called?' The questions swirled.
'You left the little gift, and so I thought I'd send it to you. Can't wait to see you in it tonight.' the words on the card she had read, reminded her again.
He knew she was coming tonight. He knew she was going to come. A painful laugh left her mouth. And a chill ran down her spine. She was on her way, wasn't she?
"I'm walking right into his trap, aren't I? No, I won't be the one being played in this game. I can play his game. I can have him losing his own game. I can... I will take pleasure in biting his head off.' she suddenly assured herself.

She paced while she thought of an idea to turn this over on him. There was an enemy who wanted to belittle her rank. A rank she worked so hard for.
