"Show me what proof you have and I will give in to your demands." With that, she hung up the call, feeling a small sense of satisfaction at being the one to end the conversation this time.
A nagging unease crept in, like a whisper in the darkness. Was she truly satisfied? Or was it just a fleeting sense of victory? The questions swirled, but before she could grasp the answers, a voice pierced the silence.
"Boss," Asli spun around, her expression expectant, eyes narrowing. "What is it?" she asked curtly, her tone masking the turbulence within.
"What is it?" she asked curtly.
"A parcel just came in and it is addressed to you. Do you want us to call the bomb squad?" Her instincts prickled. Who would send her a package?
Her instincts flared, prickling her skin. Who would send her a package? "A parcel for me? Interesting!" The words escaped her lips, laced with skepticism; she almost didn't believe it. "Any card?" she asked, mind racing. Which Mafia Lord dared send her a warning? "Call the bomb control team. Let them see..."
"There is a card," the man replied, his voice cautious. "The parcel is from Mr. A.H. Should I open it?" The man's words quickly cut her off.
Asli's thoughts begin to screech to a halt. A.H? Who was that? Her mind echoed the question, a shiver running down her spine.
'A.H? Who the hell is that?' Who the hell was A.H.? She had to double ask herself. 'Is it Ahmet? He wouldn't dare!'
"Boss... do you..." her subordinate began, caution lacing his voice.
Asli's glare cut him off. "No. Leave it there. I'll check it out later."
The man hesitated, "Boss, it could be dangerous, and I..."
