Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 340

Why on earth was Finnian bringing his grandpa, Mr. Kevin Everly, to see her? She figured they just wanted to visit her place, but Mr. Kevin had been to her house before...

The extended Rolls-Royce was parked outside, with Mr. Kevin Everly comfortably seated inside while Finnian stood outside, waiting for her.

As Amara approached, Finnian opened the car door for her. "Hop in."

Amara climbed into the car.

This Rolls-Royce had a carriage-style double door, with a particularly spacious backseat. In the middle was a table, flanked by plush seats on each side.

Taking her seat, Amara noticed Mr. Kevin Everly, wrapped in a coat, sitting in the middle. On the table sat a steaming pot, releasing the savory aroma of braised ribs.

"Is this the soup we made tonight?" she inquired, lightly touching the pot with her fingertips.

"Yeah, things got a bit chaotic at the house with those two, so Grandpa didn't want to stay there anymore. We're heading to my apartment instead."

Finnian didn't even bother to call them mom and dad, just referring to them as "those two."

Amara glanced at Mr. Kevin Everly, who took her hand and nodded. "Those two came home and started fighting. I can't stand the sight of them. Let's go hang out at Finn's apartment."

Amara quickly realized the situation. The grandfather and grandson didn't want to stay at home and were planning to crash at Finnian's apartment for the night, pulling her along for the ride.

With Amara in the car, it started moving, and it didn’t feel right to leave halfway, so she said, "Alright, let's head over there for a bit."

Amara opened her mouth to refuse, but Mr. Kevin Everly also took her hand. "Ama, stay here. Finn has three rooms. One’s a study. I'll share the guest room with Finn, and you can have the master bedroom. Tomorrow morning, we can all have breakfast together."

Earlier, when Hogan was mentioned, Mr. Kevin Everly had seemed a bit down, but he was just starting to perk up again, which is why Amara had initially thought about leaving. Now, with Mr. Kevin Everly asking her to stay, she remembered his earlier gloom and agreed, "Alright, I'll stay."

Despite the cozy evening, it was clear Mr. Kevin Everly was still worried about Hogan, occasionally showing signs of concern. Hoping to comfort him, she agreed to stay.

"I can take the guest room alone. Grandpa, you and Mr. Everly can have the master bedroom," she insisted.

The master bedroom had a larger bed, but the guest room wasn’t small either. Mr. Kevin Everly didn’t argue, and after freshening up, he and Finnian headed to the master bedroom together.
