Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 346

Just then, another figure emerged from the house behind them. It was Lucian, dressed in casual clothes, his face as cold as a winter's night.

Dorian's eyes darted between Elysia and the handsome stranger, both stepping out from the same room, Elysia's attire suggestive, and with a noticeable mark on her neck. The truth hit him like a freight train.

Rage boiled in Dorian's veins, fists clenched, he charged at Lucian.

Lucian took the punch but wasn't one to back down. He retaliated immediately, and soon the two were locked in a full-on brawl, chaos unfolding around them.

"Dorian, have you lost your mind? Stop it!" Elysia yelled, infuriated, rushing in to separate the two.

But stepping between two fighting men was perilous, and Amara quickly held her back. "Ely, don't be reckless."

Amara's heart raced with fear—not just for Elysia, but for Lucian getting hurt. Instinctively, she glanced at Finnian.

Finnian had already sprung into action, rushing to break up the fight.

He managed to pry them apart, gripping Dorian's shoulder firmly. "Calm down," he whispered.

Lucian stood his ground, his eyes fierce and defiant, wiping the corner of his mouth, silently daring Dorian to make another move.

Elysia glanced between the two, noting Lucian bore the brunt of the fight, likely because Dorian had struck first. Anger surged through her, and she slapped Dorian across the face.

The sound was sharp and startling, freezing everyone in place. No one had expected Elysia to hit Dorian.

Dorian's face flushed with fury, his voice trembling. "You're with another man, and you hit me for him? Elysia, are you done with us?"

Seeing her so nonchalant, Amara felt relieved. As long as Elysia was moving past Dorian, that was all that mattered.

Meanwhile, despite wanting to continue the fight, Dorian was held back by Finnian and a couple of security guards, effectively ending the ordeal.

A few days after returning to the city, Amara was tidying up her place when Finnian unexpectedly showed up.

She hadn't heard much from Dorian's side of things and was surprised to see Finnian. "Mr. Everly, what brings you here?" she asked.

Finnian sat in her living room for a moment, silent.

Being alone with him was awkward enough, but his silence only amplified it. Amara pretended to fetch a glass of water from the kitchen, needing a break from the tension in the air.
