He let out a long breath, staring out the window as darkness clouded his eyes.

The moment he learned that Amara might have slept with Hogan, it felt as if his world had shattered—he simply couldn’t accept it.

But now, thinking back, he’d already decided to let Amara go. It shouldn’t matter to him who she was with anymore. So why did his heart still ache for her, no matter how hard he tried to move on?

He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails left marks in his palms. After a few seconds, he loosened his grip, his face returning to its usual cool composure. He started the car and drove away.

After Finnian punched him, Hogan felt as if all his teeth were loose. He went back inside, intending to patch himself up, but as Mr. Finnian Everly, he wasn’t exactly skilled at first aid. So he called the family doctor and had him come over to take care of it.

By the time everything was sorted, more than an hour had passed. Hogan glanced at the clock—it was already after eleven. He decided not to bother looking for Liliana that night, cleaned himself up, and went to bed.

The next morning, as soon as he woke, yesterday’s events came flooding back.

Even after a full night’s sleep, his anger hadn’t faded. He stormed out without breakfast, heading straight for Liliana’s lounge.

But Liliana wasn’t there—only Nora was inside. She told him Liliana hadn’t come to the set today; she was out running errands. Hogan called Liliana.

At first, she didn’t answer. He tried several times, still no response. Half an hour later, he called again. This time, she finally picked up, and they agreed to meet at the café outside the studio gates.

Hogan marched over to the café, still brimming with anger. He pushed open the door and scanned the room, spotting Liliana in a corner booth, two cups of coffee on the table in front of her, lost in thought.

He strode over, barely containing his frustration. “Liliana, you—”
