Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 532

"When I'm gone, the company will be in your hands. I know you're not skilled in business and it's not your passion, so I won't force you to learn. You can hire a reliable professional manager to run things. Just remember, do not sell the company."

The Sullivan Group was something Larry had built from scratch; it was his life's work. He could never let Amara sell it.

His eyes were fixed on Amara, as if pressuring her to agree.

Amara met Larry's gaze, which felt sharp enough to see through her, and her heart skipped a beat.

Could he have sensed her hatred for him? Was that why he was giving her this instruction, afraid she would sell the company out of revenge after he was gone?

Her mind raced, and she quickly replied, "Don't worry, Dad. I know how much hardship you went through to build this company. The older household staff have told me the stories. I would never sell it."

"Besides, they always tell me how Mom was by your side through it all, supporting and helping you."

"You could say this company is the product of both your efforts. I will protect it and make it even stronger."

Although she had never met her mother, Amara had a deep affection for her, a fact known to everyone in the Sullivan family.

By saying this, she hoped Larry would no longer doubt her.

As she spoke, Amara lamented once again how naive her mother had been. She had worked so hard alongside Larry, but after he succeeded, she only enjoyed a couple of years of comfort before she passed away.

While Larry deserved most of the credit for the Sullivan Group's success, her mother had also contributed significantly.

And wasn't the only reason Larry could focus entirely on his career because his wife was managing the home front?
