After a bit of playful bickering, Amara's eyes were drawn to the dark night outside. A car was approaching from a distance, and it pulled over at the entrance of the Everly estate.
Even though it was dark, the moonlight faintly illuminated the scene. Amara could see that there were two people in the car, a man and a woman, in the driver and passenger seats.
And after the car stopped, the two people actually leaned into each other and began to kiss deeply.
Amara's eyes widened, and she stared fixedly at the couple locked in a passionate kiss, her expression one of utter disbelief.
Keith had also noticed the kissing couple. Seeing Amara's strong reaction, he asked curiously, "Who is that? Do you know them?"
"No, I don't. I just think it's a bit scandalous for them to be kissing on the side of the road in the middle of the night."
Amara averted her gaze, trying to calm her racing heart.
Keith rolled his eyes at her. "What's so scandalous about it? I thought you were pretty open-minded. When did you become so old-fashioned?"
Amara smiled. "People change. Can't I change?"
She was just saying that to cover up her shock. Her heart was still pounding, and her palms were sweaty.
She glanced again at the couple kissing in the car up ahead. When Keith wasn't looking, she secretly took out her phone and snapped a few photos.
After taking the pictures, Amara put her phone away. "Alright, you should head back. It's getting late, and I need to get some sleep."
