Elinor thought Darleen was strange, for when in situations full of tension, she would show off herself. Is she to seek attention or build her amicable image?
She looked at Darleen and suddenly smiled. "Sure, let's go together."
Rutledge frowned, for he never expected her consent. At the next moment, Elinor held his arm. "It happened that Rutledge can be my partner."
She looked up at him. "Rutledge, will you accompany me?"
Elinor rarely played tricks, but if she really feigned innocence, Darleen would not be her opponent.
Rutledge clearly knew Elinor did so to provoke Darleen who always wanted to suppress her by showing their intimacy.
Darleen wanted to go together? Then she would meet her request.
Darleen never expected that Elinor would actually agree. She originally invited them to humiliate Elinor and show that she was a perfect match for Victor. But Elinor consented to her advice without hesitation, which made her anxious.
Why doesn't she care?
Doesn't she care about Victor?
Elinor held Rutledge's arm and cast an indifferent smile at Victor. "It's time to go. I originally planed to go find Rutledge, but he came to me instead, and your girlfriend invited us. Let's go together."
How dare she?
Victor was furious but had to remain cold on his face. Now that she provoked him, let them see who the winner was.
Darleen didn't deny and echoed. "Yeah, don't know how long before you will break up with Rutledge this time."
How cheeky.
Elinor directly jibed, "Don't be nosy. How about minding your own business and focusing on your relationship with Victor? Or you might split up before we do."
In the car, her voice was ear-piercing for Darleen.
She stared and turned livid, "What did you just say?"
"Your affairs are none of my business, and you also should not be nosy, especially pretending to be amicable but in fact malicious." Elinor laughed, "Right?"
