When Natalie heard the bullet, her heartbeat immediately lost its rhythm. It’s a bullet? They used a gun?
Because the attackers had used a silencer and Natalie had never experienced something like this before, she only knew Baron had been hurt; she didn’t know what had wounded him.
Seeing Natalie’s worry, Baron shot the doctor a glare, then softened his voice and said, “It’s okay; it’s not a vital spot, nothing serious. Babe, I’m a little hungry–see if there’s any instant noodles and make me something to eat. You should eat too; once you finish, I’ll be done here.”
After he spoke, Baron gave a signal to one of his men.
Natalie wanted to say she wasn’t hungry–she wanted to stay and watch Baron’s wound be treated—but at the thought of that warm spray of blood, Sam’s last moments flashed through her mind.
She knew she had developed a psychological shadow.
Natalie clenched her fists tight, forcing herself to appear calm.
“All right. I’ll get you some noodles. If you need anything, you must tell me.”
Baron nodded; softness filled his eyes.
Natalie was led to a nearby dining area.
Seeing Baron’s wound, the doctor frowned slightly.
“Mr. Baron, you still don’t want anesthesia for this?”
“As usual; move faster–I’m afraid my wife will worry.”
There was no tenderness left in Baron’s eyes; they were chilling enough to terrify.
The doctor shivered and, not daring to argue, hurried forward to tend to Baron’s wound. The gunfight below ended quickly.
Seeing Baron being treated, Westin said, “Mr. Baron, I’ll take people down to support them.” “Go; take Mr. Rio with you–maybe Rio can earn some credit.”

Baron sweat coldly all over from the pain, his face as pale as a ghost, yet his voice stayed steady, as if the blade hadn’t cut him.
Rio swallowed hard at the sight. Baron was absolutely ruthless! How could someone this ruthless be merely the Stone family’s live–in son–in–law?
“Mr. Baron, do you have other identities?”
Rio knew it was a bad time to ask, but he asked anyway.
Baron paused, then nodded.
“I’ll tell Mr. Rio another time.”
“No rush; I’ll lead them down first.”
Rio saw this as his chance to win favor.
Westin led his men and Rio’s people onto the ship.
After the gunfire stopped, Jensen also ordered Hansel to force down and impatiently boarded the ship; he searched every cabin for any sign of Natalie.
“Natalie! Natalie, are you here?”
He searched like a madman, wanting to find her in the next instant.
Jensen’s heart was in his throat.
He had some idea of what a woman arriving here might have endured.
As long as he could find Natalie, Jensen’s chest ached dreadfully. Do I not care? No, I do!But this isn’t Natalie’s fault!
He vowed to bring Natalie back and treat her well.
Hansel watched Jensen’s frantic searching, and with people still fighting, his heart nearly leaped out of his chest.
“Mr. Jensen, slow down! These people are desperate; you could
get
hurt!”
Jensen knew that; yet he was too worried.
Natalie had been missing so long; she must be terrified to death.

When he was eighteen, he had pulled the dying Natalie out of the Summers family; today he would find her and bring her back again.
If he found her, there would still be hope.
At that moment, Rio and Westin’s men arrived and clashed with those on the ship.
The cabins erupted into chaos.
Some of the big names who hadn’t left yet frowned and instinctively flew away.
Before long, only Jensen’s people, Baron’s people, and Rio’s men remained on the ship.
By the time Rachel arrived, the fighting had already reached its end.
When Jensen heard the Stone family had come, he feared it was Baron.
He absolutely would not allow Baron to score points with Natalie in front of him.
Natalie’s rescuer had to be him!
Thinking that, Jensen grabbed Hansel’s collar and snarled, “Get the Stone family people off this ship! If they don’t obey, find a way to make their plane sink!”
Hansel was terrified by Jensen’s words.
“Mr. Jensen, what are you saying? That’s the Stone family–the bride’s maternal family. Natalie still hasn’t been found; if the Stone family learns we stopped their landing, Ms. Stone may blame you.”
