Chapter 434 Shut Up and Chew
She hurriedly swiped to answer the call.
“Renee.”
The moment Renee heard Natalie’s voice, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Natalie, are you okay? You sent me that drawing earlier–I didn’t understand what it meant, so I gave it to Baron. He told me to stay out of it, but the more I thought about it, the more worried I got. Did something happen to you?”
Ever since hanging up with Baron, Renee had been uneasy.
If it had just been a design draft, Natalie would’ve explained how to handle it. But the email contained nothing–just that mysterious drawing.
And that drawing looked more like a floor plan than a design sketch.
Renee began to suspect something was wrong. Yet every time she tried calling Natalie, she couldn’t get through.
If she hadn’t answered today, Renee had already decided she’d personally go to the Stone family estate to look for her.
Thankfully, Natalie picked up.
Hearing the worry in Renee’s voice, Natalie felt a pang of guilt.
“Renee, I’m so sorry for making you worry. I’m fine. There was just… a special situation earlier. That drawing couldn’t be seen by anyone else, so I used my work account to send it to you. Luckily, you were smart enough to forward it to Baron. Everything’s settled now. Baron and I will head back tomorrow–I’ll treat you to dinner when we’re back.”
Natalie didn’t tell Renee that she’d been kidnapped and taken to Ocevaris.
The motives behind everything, and the extent of the people involved, were still unclear even to her–but she knew it wasn’t simple.
Renee was just her senior in the industry; Natalie didn’t want to drag her into something so dangerous.
Hearing her reassurance, Renee relaxed.

“All right. When you’re back, come by the studio. The samples are finished, and there’s already a lot of buzz on Weibo–everyone’s waiting for our product launch.”
Natalie’s heart surged at that.
For five long years, she’d worked behind the scenes, quietly supporting Jensen. All the profits, all the glory–it had all gone to Jensen and Luke Corp.
By the time she broke up with him, she didn’t even have a respectable bank account to her
name.
Worse, Jensen had almost handed her hard–earned recognition to Sharon. The memory of that humiliation still made her chest ache.
Never again. Never again would she allow anyone to covet or steal what was hers.
“Got it. Baron and I will get back as soon as possible.”
Renee’s tone lightened immediately.
“By the way, Natalie–has Yvonne been busy lately? I haven’t seen her around, and she’s not answering my calls. Is she sick?”
“No, she’s probably just handling a few things. I’ll visit her with Ayin tomorrow.”
Natalie knew her disappearance must have thrown the entire Stone family into chaos.
Yvonne was likely out looking for her nonstop–she wouldn’t have had the time or peace of mind to go to the studio.
But now that Natalie was back, everything could finally return to normal.
After chatting a bit more, she hung up the phone–only to freeze the moment she looked up.
Baron had come out of the bedroom wearing a white casual shirt… except that it was a little too sheer.
Through the thin fabric, his chest and abs were faintly visible; Natalie nearly choked on her own saliva.
At some point, Shauna had discreetly left, and the entire dining room was now just the two of them.
Natalie quickly turned her head away, feeling her cheeks burn all over again.

Baron saw her reaction and knew his guess had been right.
He sauntered over with that shameless grin and sat down beside her.

A faint mix of medicinal herbs and blood lingered in the air, brushing past Natalie’s nose. Flustered, she pushed a plate of food toward him.
“You lost a lot of blood. Eat something nourishing.”
Without looking at him, she lowered her head and started eating.
Baron found it amusing; she kept her head down, barely touching her food, as if eating could hide her embarrassment. He’d never realized how cute she could be. We’ve done it so many times, and now she can’t even look at me?
Besides, Shauna had told him Natalie had gotten a nosebleed earlier.
Baron couldn’t help feeling a smug sense of satisfaction–what better proof of his appeal?
He quickly picked up a piece of food rich in iron and placed it in her bowl. “You eat some too. Shauna said you had a nosebleed–you should also replenish your blood.”
Natalie’s mind went completely blank. Oh my god. Could there be a more mortifying way to die?
She wanted to bury her face straight into her bowl.
Baron, worried she might choke, said softly, “Lift your head before you inhale your rice through your nose.”
“Shut up!” she snapped.
