When the Hidden Luna Rises novel Chapter 39

**Chained by Fate**
**Eliza Rowan**
**Chapter 15**

After Ryan forcefully expelled Chloe from his life, she redirected her ambitions toward his family, her mind swirling with schemes.

Initially, the thought of terminating the pregnancy had crossed her mind, a secret solution to her predicament. Yet, as the days passed, a new realization dawned on her—this pregnancy could be her trump card, a weapon she could wield against the Silvermoon Pack.

With a newfound sense of purpose, she resolved to confide in Olivia about her condition. It didn’t matter that Olivia held no affection for her; the undeniable truth was that she would have to acknowledge the existence of the child. The stakes were high, and Chloe was determined to use this situation to her benefit.

What loomed larger in her mind was the potential leverage she could exert over the Silvermoon Pack. The consequences of this revelation would be severe, and everyone knew it. The Alpha King had once decreed that any Alpha or Luna who bore an illegitimate child would be stripped of their title and cast out into the wilderness of disgrace.

Reluctantly, Olivia listened to Chloe’s claims, her expression a mask of discontent. Yet, Chloe remained steadfast in her belief that once she stepped into Ryan’s home, he would have no choice but to accept her.

But when Ryan learned the full extent of Chloe’s manipulation, his fury erupted like a volcano. He slammed his phone against the floor, the sound echoing through the room like a thunderclap.

“I will not allow this! I refuse to accept her as my Luna! I have only one Luna!” Ryan’s voice thundered, filled with rage and disbelief.

Olivia, her head pounding from the weight of the situation, shot back, “Whether you like it or not, you will have to confront this! Your reckless actions have already sent ripples through the entire pack. Do you truly wish to see it all come crashing down?”

She had no desire to engage in a prolonged argument. This was a mess of his own making, and it was high time he took responsibility for it.

With a heavy heart, Olivia sent Chloe directly to Ryan’s house, hoping that confrontation would force a resolution.

Chloe stood paralyzed in the doorway when she finally laid eyes on Ryan. His face was a stone wall, devoid of any warmth or emotion.

“What do you want?” he asked, his voice a chilling whisper that sent shivers down her spine.

Tears welled in Chloe’s eyes as she reached for his hand, desperation clawing at her heart. “I miss you,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, filled with longing.

“Your mother has already agreed for us to be together,” she added, her tone shifting to one of urgency. “I don’t want anything else. I just want to be with you, Ryan. Please.”

If only she had expressed these feelings earlier, perhaps he would have believed her sincerity. But now, every syllable dripped with insincerity in his ears.

He yanked his hand away, the movement sharp and dismissive. “I don’t want to be with you. Keep your distance from me.”

Chloe stared at him, disbelief etched across her features. How could Ryan have changed so drastically?
