When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 591

Lemira hesitated for a moment before hitting the start game button.

She didn’t accept the invitation to join the team.

Yet, her heart raced a bit nonetheless.

But then she remembered today’s entertainment headlines, and her resolve hardened. If he was getting married, what did he want from her?

He mentioned wanting to meet up to discuss something. Was this what he meant?

Lemira found herself a bit distracted during the game.

On the other side, Matthew was completely taken aback when his team join request was rejected.

Curious, he checked Lemira's game history and noticed she had been teaming up with a guy whose username was identical to the one he used.

What was going on?

Matthew quickly took a screenshot and sent a message to Orion: “Dude, did you create a new account? Fine, but why aren't you letting me join the ranked games with your girlfriend?”

Was he being the third wheel?

The next moment, Orion’s phone call came through, his voice tense: “Who’s she playing with?”

“Isn’t it you?”

Orion gritted his teeth: “No.”

Matthew sensed something was off and stammered, “She’s been playing a lot with this guy these past few days. I thought it was you.”

Orion looked at the screenshot Matthew sent him, his expression dark as a thundercloud.

Was this why Lemira was ignoring him?

“Did you two have a fight?” Matthew suggested, trying to find a reasonable explanation. “Maybe he’s just someone from her team, and they’re practicing.”

After a long pause, Orion replied, “We did have a bit of a misunderstanding.”

“Did you reveal your true identity, and she got mad?”

“No, it wasn’t that. I didn’t reply to her messages in time. Grandma fell ill the other night, and there were urgent matters with the company. I didn’t get back to her until the next day.”

He had to see Lemira and clear things up face to face.

Just as he reached the parking garage, his phone rang with a call from Mrs. Amanda: “Your grandmother is awake. If you’re done with work, come by the hospital; she wants to talk to you.”

“Alright.”

Orion turned the car in a different direction.

While driving, he quickly sent Lemira a message: “Can we meet at the gym tonight? I know you don’t have class.”

It was two hours later when Lemira finished her game and picked up her phone, noticing Orion's message.

Timothy handed her a bottle of water, “Training again tonight?”

“I need to go to the gym tonight.”

“The one across from campus?”

Lemira nodded, feeling it was best to clear some things up.
