While Naomi was lost in her thoughts, Lennon had walked up to her and taken the drinks from her hands. His voice held a hint of affection. "Isn't that heavy?"
Naomi let out a small gasp, her face blushing as she lowered her head. "N-no, it's not heavy."
Lennon glanced at her with a look of fond exasperation. "Your hands are all red."
Naomi looked down and saw that, indeed, the bag handle had left two red marks on her palm. The marks were particularly noticeable.
"Oh... it's really okay."
Lennon handed her one of the coffee. "Here, cool it down."
Naomi took it, then remembered something. "But... I'm one short..."
Naomi had no idea Lennon would be there, so of course, she hadn't bought one for him.
Lennon glanced at her. "I'll just take yours."
Naomi thought that was fair, since she was the one who'd forgotten to get him one.
"Then..." Naomi held out coffee in her hand. "Here, you can have this one."
Lennon said, "Cool your hand first."
He distributed the rest of the drinks, and the office erupted in cheerful noise.
Watching the scene, Naomi couldn't help but smile.
She never knew a company could have such a great atmosphere.
Lennon might seem serious and reserved, as if he didn't like to talk to people, but you could tell what kind of person he was by the way his employees acted.
They were meticulous and diligent during work hours, but when they were off the clock, they could joke around and have fun together.
They were all truly wonderful people.
Naomi felt herself relaxing considerably.
"Come here for a second."
