Naomi nodded. "Sure, I can go with you."
"But you know me, I'm clueless about this stuff."
Naomi had a sinking feeling she was going to be more of a hindrance than a help.
"Of course not! I just need you to help me brainstorm. I trust your taste more than anyone's. Please, Naomi, just come with me."
"Pretty please?"
Naomi had to give in. "Okay, I'll go with you this weekend."
"Yay! Let's go on Saturday, then."
"Sounds good." Naomi didn't have anything scheduled for Saturday.
She snuggled back into bed and noticed a "Good night" message from Lennon, sent a minute ago. He must have assumed she'd gone to sleep.
She thought about replying but figured he might be busy. Better not to disturb him. She closed the app and started thinking about her Saturday plans.
Naomi had expected a peaceful week leading up to Saturday.
But on Thursday, Zebulon and his friends returned to campus.
Naomi frowned instinctively when she saw them standing outside her classroom.
She really didn't want to deal with Zebulon right now.
But she knew his personality. If she didn't face this head-on, things would only get worse for her.
So, Naomi asked Patricia to take her things back to the dorm while she got into Zebulon's car, heading straight for a restaurant off-campus.
