MONALISA
I had been done with classes since a while ago but I had hung around school searching for Francesca. We were both supposed to go to my home like she had told me.
After waiting for about thirty minutes and dialing her contact repeatedly, I was starting to get worried about her. I had checked our cafe but she wasn’t there too and the only place I could think of to find was her home.
Although Francesca was a bit more outgoing than I was, she rarely went out without telling me especially after we had made plans.
Ditching me wasn’t her thing to do.
I got a cab to Francesca’s home, all the while calling her contact repeatedly.
I was about to dump my phone in my bad when my eyes caught sight of Bryan’s contact. He had called me a few hours ago and I hadn’t even noticed right until now.
“Jeez. Try better. Be better with this relationship, Lisa. Bryant loves you.” I mumbled to myself as the car drove down the street that led to Francesca’s apartment.
I dialed Bryant’s contact but he wasn’t picking up. I called about twice more but it was the same result and I had to guess that he was busy doing something or maybe he was a bit mad that I was just calling him back after so many hours.
I tucked the phone back into my purse and looked out of the window, letting the soft breeze caress my face and sooth me.
I was almost at Francesca’s apartment when I thought back to what Irene had said about Francesca.
Why would Irene have said that? She had nothing to gain from lying to me about Francesca, right?
Nevertheless, I shook it off me as the car parked in front of Francesca’s apartment.
I alighted after paying for the ride and headed straight for her apartment. I knew the password to her apartment since I visited her so frequently. It was no big deal as Francesca’s thumb print could also open the door to my home.
I inputted the password and the door opened with a click. Not thinking twice, I stepped into the apartment calling out to her. “Hey… Francesca” I called walking further in but I wasn’t replied with words, instead what filled my ears were moans.
I stood frozen, wondering when Francesca got a new man after her last breakup. She had told me nothing about it but nonetheless, I had to leave immediately. I could not barge in on her having sex.
I had turned when I heard the voice of the man she was having sex with. It sounded familiar. Way too familiar. 1 “Shit! You feel so good. Ride me faster”
It was a moan but I could still recognise whose voice it was…. Bryant!
My heart raced and I felt myself get a little bit dizzy. The world seemed to twirl in front of me. 1
“No, it can’t be” I shook my head.
It was plain impossible. The voice was just similar to that of Bryant. That had to be the case.
“Yes, Bryant. Ugh!”
