The next day

LUCIUS

I walked into the room with a tray of food in my hands. Lisa had slept soundly after last night and I was hoping I wasn’t tiring her out. I stopped by the bed, seeing her still asleep. I dropped the tray of food on the table beside the bed and sat at the edge of the bed.

Her pretty eyes were closed, her beautiful lashes still. Her face looked peaceful and I never knew that peace could be this addicting.

Right now, I wanted nothing but to stare at that face for long, so long… I don’t know. Till eternity, maybe?

“shit” I cursed at my own thoughts and reached for her hand. Her soft skin against my own hand was comforting.

There was a reason I wasn’t going all out on Lisa, a reason I still held back despite having broken the only limitation I had placed on our relationship. And that reason was because I didn’t want to get addicted to her. 1

I had been with a lot of women throughout my life but none of them made me feel this way.

“Damnit” I looked away from her face, realizing that I was doing what could make me get addicted to her.

Getting up from the side of the bed, I leaned over and kissed her forehead softly.

“Good morning, Cupcake”

She grumbled sleepily, saying some words incoherently before fluttering her eyes open.

“Good morning” She mumbled in response as she sat up on the bed, the back of her hand rubbing her sleepy eyes.

“Slept well, Cupcake?” I asked, moving to the tray of food and grabbing a cup of water.

“Here” I handed it over to her and she gulped down about half of the cup before handing it back to me.

“Your mum is away, right?” I asked her.

“Yes but how did you know?”

“That’s nothing, cupcake” I replied and proceeded to sit back on the edge of the bed.

“You will be alone for two weeks” My right hand lifted on its own and went for her cheek. Did I ever mention that Lisa had beautiful chubby cheeks? And those cheeks looked not only beautiful but also sexy whenever I had my cock inside of her mouth.

Okay. Damn, she is distracting me yet again.

“Move in and stay with me for those two weeks” My gaze flickered to her lips.

“Really” She asked. She seemed to be excited by the idea and that was great. I needed her to move in so I could keep a better eye on her until I found out who exactly is after her. Protecting her and keeping her safe would be easier if she stayed under the same roof with me.

“Yes, cupcake or don’t you want to?”

“I do! I will move in later today. But what room?” She asked and a smirk appeared on my lips as my thumb found her lower lip. “Funny of you to think that we will be staying in separate rooms” I caressed her lower lip and saw her pretty eyes flicker.

I pulled my hand away from her face and knelt on the bed, lifting her into my hands. All she was wearing was a shirt of mine and her thighs were out for me to see.
