A Life Beyond Limits (Jack Holland) novel Chapter 875

As the deputy CEO of Zenith Capital, Wilhelmina had undoubtedly weathered countless storms.

Though inwardly stunned, she quickly composed herself. Her sharp gaze locked onto Jack as she spoke coolly.

"Now I understand why you were so bold in front of your parents back then. It makes sense, considering everything. So, you're the founder of Genesis Games. I admit I underestimated you. You've done a remarkable job hiding that."

Her words hung in the air as she studied Jack's expression, only to find his face eerily calm, devoid of any smugness. His composure, if anything, earned him a sliver of her respect.

After a brief pause, Wilhelmina continued, her voice icy. "If I'm not mistaken, you must be gloating inside right now. But don't get ahead of yourself. Despite Genesis Games' rapid rise, Zenith Capital's market value still far surpasses yours. As for our little wager, you haven't won yet. Not quite."

More importantly, she was sure Zenith Capital would stay on top in any future competition.

Jack let out a quiet sigh and replied calmly, "Ms. Dodger, let's set aside personal grudges for now. I'm here representing Genesis, and you represent Zenith. Shouldn't we focus on discussing business?"

Journalists around them adjusted their gear, ready to capture the moment the two companies joined forces.

"No!"

But before Jack could finish, Wilhelmina's sharp voice cut through the air.

The press stared in stunned silence. Todd's shock and the gazes of both Zenith and Genesis staff met Wilhelmina's cold gaze, where a flicker of anger passed briefly.

She spoke, her voice sharp and flat. "Jack, do you think it's amusing to toy with me? Does it feed your pathetic ego? Let me make one thing clear—Genesis Games will never surpass Zenith Capital!"

The reporters, the Zenith executives, and the Genesis team stared, stunned. No one knew why she had snapped like that.

Wilhelmina smirked and turned to Todd beside her.

"Tell him—do I have the final say here?"

Todd looked at Jack, then at Wilhelmina, and finally nodded slightly. "Y-Yes... you do."

Wilhelmina was second-in-command on paper. But her family's power helped build Zenith Capital into what it was. She had more than earned her place at the top.

She smiled and turned back to Jack. "Now, do you believe me? If you have nothing else, please see yourself out! Zenith Capital has decided not to invest another cent in Genesis Games. Our partnership ends here. From now on, we will go our separate ways."

A gasp swept through the crowd, followed by a wave of hushed whispers.
