Just as Starla put her phone down, Caden Larson arrived. She frowned at the sight of him. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to persuade you to get a divorce," Caden said bluntly.

His directness made Starla's expression turn grim.

"I have something I want to say to you in private. Is that okay?" Caden asked.

Starla glanced at Garret and gave a slight nod. Garret bowed respectfully and then ushered the surrounding staff out of the room, leaving just the two of them.

"You can speak now," Starla said, turning her attention back to him.

"Do you really hate Fairfax that much?"

"You sent all my people away just to ask me such a pointless question?"

"Your target this time is the entire Yelchin family, isn't it?" Caden pressed.

At this, Starla shot him an icy glare.

"You don't have to look at me like that."

"Then what are you trying to say?" Starla's voice was now audibly cold.

"You're going after the whole family because you hate them!"

Starla let out a small, humorless laugh. "What am I supposed to say to that? Back when you used to hang around with Fairfax and the others, I always thought you were the dumbest one of the bunch."

"Hey, that's not very friendly. What do you mean, the dumbest?"
