Starla casually lifted her gaze to Brinley, her lips curling slightly as she uttered those two devastating words.

Faced with Brinley’s fury, Starla simply smiled. “On the grounds that I’m the one in charge of the Yelchin estate now.”

Brinley was silenced. It was true. Starla was in control. Even Fairfax, who once held half of Marina City in his palm, was utterly powerless against her. Why? Why was Herbert backing her so completely?

“This isn’t fair,” Brinley stammered. “One person should do one person’s work.”
