When the day of her scheduled prenatal check-up arrived, Janina went to the hospital.

Maggie accompanied her again. On the way, Janina recounted the recent events, telling her all about the mysterious master healer.

Even Maggie, who had seen her fair share of wild situations, was stunned. She was eager to meet this supposed medical marvel.

As usual, the hospital was crowded.

They took a number, and soon it was Janina's turn. The doctor ordered an ultrasound and bloodwork. Janina had her blood drawn first, then went upstairs for the scan.

By the time all the tests were done, it was noon.

Janina and Maggie grabbed a quick lunch outside, did some window shopping, and then returned to the hospital to pick up the lab results.

As they walked down the hallway, two familiar figures came into view.

A man and a woman.

The man was dressed in a well-tailored suit, his features sharp and handsome.

The woman wore a camel-colored coat, her makeup flawless. She gazed at the man with a sweet, adoring smile.

It was Julius and Yvonne.

They looked like a perfect couple.

Maggie muttered under her breath at the sight of them, "That bastard and that bitch. Ugh."

Janina tugged on Maggie's arm. "Let's go. Don't let them ruin our day. We need to see the doctor."

To avoid running into Julius and Yvonne, Janina and Maggie skipped the elevator and took the escalator instead.

"Julius, what are you looking at?" Yvonne asked softly, noticing his gaze fixed in one direction.

Julius frowned. That woman's silhouette… it looked so much like Janina.

"Nothing. I must have been mistaken," he replied dismissively, turning his attention back to Yvonne.

He chided himself for being paranoid. Why would Janina be at a hospital? Besides, she would never wear a color like that; she always hated bright, vivid shades.

Yvonne didn't think much of it. It wasn't unusual to run into acquaintances at the hospital.
