After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 146

Isabella grinned, her hand brushing over her cheek. "Yeah? Then I’d better take care of my skin."

She turned to Barbara. "Whenever your company launches something new, just send a few sets over. Put it all on Ethan’s account."

If Ethan sent her the products himself, Natalie would probably find a way to snatch them first. But if Isabella got them straight from the source and let Ethan foot the bill, there was nothing Natalie could do.

Barbara agreed without hesitation. "You got it. If you like the stuff, maybe help me spread the word? Recommend it to your friends?"

"Of course," Isabella said cheerfully. "If it’s good, everyone should know about it. Honestly, I could even be a distributor for your company. If I stick with you, I know I’ll do well."

Barbara changed the subject. "I heard you’re opening a store."

Isabella nodded. "I am. I’ve already rented the space and the renovations are underway. I want it to be a bookstore and a café. If I become your distributor, maybe I’ll even take the two shops next door."

Barbara leaned in close, lowering her voice. "Does Jennifer really let you go out and work like this? The women in the Adams family hardly ever show their faces in public. They have so many rules."

Barbara knew all about the Adams family. She’d grown up in a wealthy, traditional family herself, but even she thought the Adams house rules were over the top. The restrictions only applied to women who married into the family, though. Daughters born into the Adams family, like Sophia, had the freedom to do as they pleased.

Isabella leaned in as well, whispering, "I convinced Ethan. No matter what happens, he’ll always have my back."

Barbara’s eyes lit up with understanding. She gave Isabella a thumbs up. "Smart move. You know who really runs the show." Then her tone softened. "Is he good to you?"

She asked because she was Harold’s little sister, and she knew exactly why Ethan had married Isabella.
