The results they got were the real deal. The ones Ethan would get? Completely fake.
Jordan laughed quietly. “Looks like we’re on the same wavelength.”
She smiled. “Of course. We’re married, aren’t we?”
Jordan’s voice dropped. “Alright, let’s stick to your plan. Tell Ethan we need more of Isabella’s hair. Say we want to do our own test. We’ll actually run two tests. We’ll read the real results ourselves and destroy them. Then we’ll give Ethan the fake ones. Both sets will match, so he’ll believe it.”
That was exactly what Natalie had been thinking.
Jordan reminded her, “Go early and don’t hang around too long. Ethan didn’t go to the office today, so just go straight to his place.”
“Got it. What about your dad’s room key? Should we get rid of it?” She hated keeping it. If anyone ever found out she’d used a duplicate key to sneak into Cynthia’s room, it would ruin her.
“Let’s keep it for now. Once we have the results, I’ll take care of the key. Don’t worry, no one’s going to find out. Unless my dad has hidden cameras in his room. But I really don’t think so.”
Jordan knew Jackson well. He couldn’t imagine his father putting up cameras in his own bedroom.
“Still, what if there’s a camera and we just don’t know? I mean, I’ll believe there isn’t one in the bedroom, but what about other places?”
