Right then, the intercom rang. Ethan pressed the speaker. His secretary’s voice came through. “Ethan, Melissa’s here.”

Jordan knew it was his cue to leave. “I’ll head out. If you have time this weekend, bring Isabella over for dinner. Cynthia’s been saying she misses her,” Jordan said.

Ethan walked him toward the door. “We’ll see how Isabella feels. If she’s free and wants to come by, I’ll bring her.”

Isabella’s filming schedule never seemed to line up with weekends, and honestly, Ethan wasn’t even sure if she’d have time. She hadn’t visited the Lane house in a while. With all the tension between the two of them, he hadn’t pushed her to go home, either.
