After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 318

“Isabella!” Ethan’s voice was sharp, his expression cold as he cut her off mid-sentence. He looked straight at her, his eyes dark and intense.

“I told you,” he said, each word slow and deliberate, “I’m not getting a divorce.”

“I only plan to get married once.”

“If you bring up divorce again, I’ll stop your allowance. Not another cent from me. And don’t even think about using my name or my connections for your own gain. My resources won’t be available to you anymore.”

“Everything I give you—a comfortable life, my support, all of it—is because we’re husband and wife. That’s the only reason.”

Just imagining Harold waiting in the background, ready to pounce the moment they split, made Ethan’s blood boil. The thought of Isabella leaving him for someone else was more than he could take.

She was his wife. She would always be his wife. The only way she was leaving was if he was dead.

“If you dare divorce me, I’ll make sure you have nothing left. I really can do it, Isabella. I’ll ruin you. You won’t be able to stay in Cabinda. And your mom’s little business? I can take that away, too.”

Isabella didn’t hesitate. She picked up her glass of water and threw it straight in Ethan’s face.

He didn’t see it coming. Water dripped down his cheeks as he wiped his face, eyes narrowing. “Isabella, that’s where I stand.”

“You’re such a selfish jerk, Ethan!” Isabella’s voice shook with rage.

“I must have been cursed to ever cross paths with you.” She couldn’t believe she’d become his pawn, dragged into his mess.
