“I’ve already had Laura let everyone know we’re having dinner together tonight.”
Isabella glanced at Ethan, her expression making him sigh inside. Still, he said to her, “Go ahead and treat them. For someone who’s never been a boss, you sure know how to play the part. I’ll call the manager and have them save you a big private room. If you’re treating everyone, you should do it right. I’ll cover the whole bill tonight, but only if you invite me too.”
He had his reasons. Barbara was also an investor, so Isabella would probably invite her. Harold might come along with her. Ethan needed to be there, not for the food, but to make sure Isabella didn’t get taken advantage of.
Isabella grinned. “You came all this way to celebrate with me. Of course I’ll invite you. It’s a deal.” Spending his money to buy him dinner? She’d be crazy to say no.
“I’ll call Barbara and Linda to see if they’re free tonight.” She picked up her phone and started dialing.
She called Barbara first. Once Barbara picked up, Isabella updated her on how well the series was doing, then told her about the dinner. She made sure to invite the whole cast and crew. Barbara agreed immediately. It was only right to celebrate, and she said she’d be there.
“Is Harold free? Invite him too,” Isabella said. She liked Harold. He’d come with Barbara a couple of times before, so it felt natural to include him.
