"Are you still angry, Aiden?" Angelina asked softly, her gaze fixed on Aiden's blank expression.
Aiden shook his head and replied, "Why should I be angry?"
Upon hearing his response, Angelina felt a pang in her heart. She knew that he was genuinely upset this time. It seemed like he had stopped caring about her.
"Aiden, do you no longer care about me? Have I lost my place in your heart?" Angelina's tears started to flow as she spoke.
Aiden took a deep breath and said, "What's the point of saying all this now? I used to love you deeply, but you never loved me in return. I have truly given up. Instead of both of us suffering like this, let's end our relationship. Let's break up."
Angelina was shocked by his words. She quickly pleaded, "No! I don't want to leave you! You promised Grandpa that you would take care of me for the rest of your life.
"It was my fault that I called Ray. I didn't think it through at that time. I just remembered that he told me he asked someone for help.
"Aiden, I truly didn't mean to neglect you. I didn't know that Ray came to our house. It was my mom's idea. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone to find you. Can you please not be angry?"
Aiden shook his head and calmly replied, "I'm not angry."
"Then why aren't you saying anything?" Angelina asked sadly, her face filled with sorrow.
Aiden chuckled and responded, "What are you talking about? Two men said the same thing to you, but you chose to believe a stranger instead of your husband. Well, I was never your husband to begin with. Our marriage was a mistake."
"No, it's not true! It's not true!" Angelina shook her head.
"We're here. Let's go home." Aiden parked the car and immediately got out.
As Angelina watched his desolate figure, tears uncontrollably streamed down her face.
When they entered the house, Linda and Harvey saw Angelina's distressed appearance. They hurriedly asked, "Angelina, what happened? Why are you crying?"
"Dad, Aiden dropped me off and left. He said he's going to the city hall tomorrow to divorce me. It's over!" Angelina suddenly threw herself into Harvey's arms and started crying.
"Angelina, I'll go talk to Aiden. He's probably just angry right now. I'll reason with him." Harvey comforted Angelina.
Angelina shook her head and said, "It's no use. I've never seen him so indifferent toward me like he was in the car just now. He's truly angry and hurt."
"I'll go find him. How dare he? Angelina has been so good to him, and he wants a divorce?" Linda shouted angrily, preparing to get dressed and leave.
"That's enough! Are you satisfied now? It's not you who wants Aiden to divorce me. It's him who wants to divorce me. He doesn't want me anymore!" Angelina yelled at Linda. "I hate you!"
After saying that, she ran upstairs crying and slammed the bedroom door.
"Why is this child…" Linda's words were interrupted by Harvey as he said, "You've done enough! The two children were already fine. It's all because of you! When will you change your vain and materialistic ways?"
"What gives you the right to say that about me?" Linda immediately retorted.
However, Harvey ignored her and went back to his room alone.
The spacious living room stood empty, with only Linda remaining. She murmured to herself, "Why is everyone directing their anger at me? What did I do wrong?"
Meanwhile, Aiden received a call from Dolly at the medical center.
"Aiden, are you busy?" Dolly asked with her sweet voice.
Aiden replied with a hint of melancholy, "What's wrong, Dolly? Is something the matter?"
"Aiden, what's bothering you?" Dolly asked anxiously as she sensed Aiden's low mood.
Aiden shook his head and said, "Nothing. Is there something you need, Dolly?"

"Just once should be fine, right?" Sally looked at Aiden with a pitiful expression and pleaded.
Aiden rolled his eyes helplessly and said, "Get in the car. I really don't understand what's so appealing about that place."
Upon hearing this, the two of them happily got into Aiden's sports car.
After the three of them left, a few classmates at the college gate said, "Dolly and Sally were picked up by that Aston Martin again."
"Could it be that they both became the mistresses of wealthy young men at the same time?" one classmate said.
"It's hard to say. Don't wealthy young men nowadays prefer this kind of lifestyle?"
"I never expected that Dolly and Sally, who usually act innocent, would do something like this."
"They simply look down on us."
"How can they smile at us, the losers?"
Meanwhile, Dolly and Sally were unaware of the scene unfolding at the college gate as they chatted away in the car.
"Aiden, what happened to you just now?" Dolly asked.
Aiden smiled faintly and replied, "Nothing."
"No, you're definitely in a bad mood," Dolly insisted.
Instead of answering her question, Aiden said, "Just go in for a while and then come out, okay?"
"Okay, Aiden," they both answered simultaneously. Their voices were filled with excitement.
