When Aiden returned to the medical center, it was already late. Upon opening the doors, he spotted Angelina sitting there, engrossed in a book.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Aiden asked, smiling.
Angelina looked up at him, her eyes sparkling, and replied, "I can't sleep without you."
Aiden chuckled and responded, "I returned late because the patients have complex conditions."
Their conversation made Aiden feel like this was how a couple should be.
Angelina nodded and rose to return to the room.
The following day, Aiden was attending to patients at the medical center when Zachary rushed in anxiously, shouting, "Denny, Denny!"
"What's the matter? Why are you so flustered?" Aiden asked impatiently.
When Zachary saw Aiden, he seemed to have found his pillar of strength. He calmed down and explained, "Denny, there's a patient whose life hangs in the balance. My grandfather asked me to come and seek your help."
"What patient? Why did Old Mr. Thatcher send you all the way here?" Aiden asked.
"Denny, do you know about the four prominent families in Keyland? The Chapman Family, Thatcher Family, Owen Family, and Harper Family. You've already met them all. However, there's another hidden family in Keyland called the Wright Family. The other four families have all received assistance from the Wright Family to reach their current positions," Zachary explained.
After listening to Zachary's words, Aiden asked with surprise, "What does this have to do with me?"
"Denny, my grandfather went to visit the Wright Family's patriarch today. Just now, Old Mr. Wright's condition suddenly worsened. If it weren't for the urgent situation, my grandfather would have come to ask for your help himself," Zachary said anxiously.
Ring, ring!
The phone rang, and Aiden picked it up. "Old Mr. Thatcher."
"Mr. Finnegan, is Zachary with you? I have a favor to ask." Jeffrey's voice came through the phone.
Aiden looked at Zachary and said into the phone, "Zachary just arrived here and was telling me."
"The Wright Family has been kind to me. Now that Andrew is critically ill, I implore you to lend a hand, Mr. Finnegan. Befriending the Wright Family will also bring you great benefits in the future," Jeffrey said sincerely over the phone.
Initially, he had wanted to go to Aiden personally, but he was afraid of missing Andrew’s last moments. So, he sent Zachary instead. However, he suddenly realized that this was quite impolite. Aiden was not a member of the Thatcher Family and couldn't be at their beck and call.
Furthermore, the same thing had happened with Luke before. Although Aiden was eventually compensated with a car, their relationship couldn't be measured by material things.
Thus, Jeffrey quickly called Aiden. In fact, as soon as Zachary entered the medical center and mentioned that he wanted Aiden to go see a patient, Aiden wasn't very happy about it.
He wasn't someone who liked to show off, but the Thatcher Family's actions made him uncomfortable. However, Jeffrey's phone call afterward surprised Aiden. He thought Jeffrey probably couldn’t leave, and it seemed that Jeffrey had a special connection with Andrew. Thus, Aiden said, "Alright."
After hanging up the phone, Aiden told Angelina where he was going and hurried to the Wright Residence with Zachary.
In the car, Zachary could already sense that Aiden was a bit displeased, so he said, "After my grandfather retired from the military, the Thatcher Family didn't even exist. It was thanks to the financial support of Old Mr. Wright that the Thatcher Family has developed into what it is today."
"My grandfather is afraid he won't be able to see Old Mr. Wright before he passes away, so he sent me here," Zachary explained.
Aiden nodded and asked, "Do you know what illness he has?"

Lincoln quickly held Simone from behind, saying worriedly, "Miss Wright, take care of yourself. Old Mr. Wright is already eighty-nine years old. He has lived a long life."
"Why? Grandpa's health was fine just a few days ago. He could eat two large bowls of risotto in one sitting. How did he deteriorate like this in just a few days?" Simone said with vacant eyes, discreetly distancing herself from Lincoln.
A hint of disappointment appeared in Lincoln's eyes.
"Simone, the doctor I called will be here soon. He must have a solution. He even cured Old Mr. Walker's chronic illness," Jeffrey said to Simone, taking a step forward.
Upon hearing this, Simone's lifeless eyes regained a glimmer of hope, and she quickly asked, "Old Mr. Thatcher, how long will it take for him to arrive?"
"Zachary and the others are already on their way. They should be here soon."
"Even I couldn't do anything about Old Mr. Wright's illness. What can a rural doctor do?" Lincoln sneered.
Jeffrey called another doctor to come in front of him, which was clearly a slap in the face.
This old man was truly despicable. He even called another doctor in front of Simone, for whom he had feelings!
"Considering Andrew's condition, it's worth a try," Jeffrey said calmly.
The Gardner Family held a prominent position in Wardom, while families like the Thatcher Family were not even worth the Gardner Family's attention. Therefore, Jeffrey did not argue with Lincoln but merely suggested giving it a try.
"Give it a try? Do you think Old Mr. Wright's condition is a joke?" Lincoln exclaimed angrily.
Simone furrowed her brow. She was aware of Lincoln's feelings for her, but she disliked his personality. If it weren't for her grandfather's illness this time, she would never have approached him.
