"I understand now! Aiden, did you send Helena to buy curtains just for this?" Angelina suddenly exclaimed and asked.

"Brilliant!" Aiden praised Angelina.

"You should have told me earlier!" Karin pouted.

However, he looked at Karin with a strange expression and sarcastically asked, "And what do you think you have to show me?"

"Aiden! You're insulting me!" Karin gritted her teeth.

Angelina shook her head at the sight of the two and said, "Here we go again!"

She glanced at Aiden and uttered with a hint of complaint, "Aiden..."

Upon hearing this, Aiden grinned and remarked, "I'm just kidding. When you recover, I'll consider getting you a breast enhancement cream. It could also be a boost for Angelina's company!"

"Ethan, your grandpa is talking to you," called out Thomas York, the patriarch of the York Family and Ethan's father.

Yet, Ethan remained rooted in place, casting a blank expression at the two of them, not uttering a single word.

Hogan looked puzzled and asked, "Ethan, why aren't you speaking?"

Ethan pointed to his throat, indicating that he couldn't speak.

Thomas frowned and remarked, "Do you have a sore throat? How careless of you."

"Since you have a sore throat, go back to your room and rest first." Hogan waved his hand and commented.

Upon hearing this, Ethan felt relieved. Just as he was about to step out of the living room door, Hogan's voice came again. "Wait a minute. Even if you have a sore throat, it shouldn't be so severe that you can't speak. Come here. Let me take a look at you. Maybe it's some kind of illness; we can't afford to delay it!"

Tears streamed down his face as Ethan turned around and faced the two of them. Thomas frowned once more and inquired, "What's with that expression? Why don't you let your grandpa take a look?"

As Ethan approached Hogan, Hogan gestured for him to open his mouth, intending to examine it.

Hogan was taken aback. If this sudden change has no reason, what if it is a serious illness? It was devastating to think Ethan couldn't speak in the future!

"Do you realize that I sacrificed everything just to create this opportunity for you?" Hogan's voice began to rise.

As Ethan noticed Hogan's increasing anger, he quickly turned to Thomas for help. However, Thomas avoided making eye contact with Ethan and looked away instead.

Realizing that even his father was avoiding involvement, Ethan knelt down on the ground, awaiting his punishment.

Hogan snorted coldly and said, "Follow me to the backyard!"

Once they left, Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and muttered, "Thank goodness I didn't get dragged into this!"

Just as he finished speaking, Thomas felt a tremor beneath his feet, followed by Hogan's furious shout.

Half an hour later, Thomas heard Hogan's voice yelling, "Bring him to the room!"

He knew very well that Ethan was not crying out of regret or grievance. It was pure pain.

The next day, when Ethan woke up, he felt pain all over his body. As he was about to leave the house, he found Hogan waiting for him in the hall.

"Do you know what you have to do today?" Hogan sneered.
