Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 67

Upon realizing that Linda had consumed the health supplement, Aiden exclaimed, "Mom, you can't take that! It's poisonous!"

"Poisonous?" She was taken aback and retorted, "Nonsense! That's the health supplement Titan has given Corina as a gift. How could it be poisonous?"

"Mom, I'm not lying! Spit it out immediately!" He frowned.

"Hmph, are you envious because Titan has a higher status than you and gave us something? How dare you claim it's poisonous? It's absurd!" she replied disdainfully.

Despite Linda's usual cold demeanor towards him, Aiden couldn't simply ignore her since she was Angelina's mother.

"Sorry in advance, Mom!" He furrowed his brows.

She was taken aback. "What do you mean by that?"

Before she could finish her sentence, he grabbed her and forcefully pushed her onto the couch.

"You beast, how dare you treat me like this? I'm your mother-in-law!"

Linda was terrified as Aiden lifted her up and immediately had the dreadful thought that he was going to assault her when he pinned her down on the couch. Although she was approaching forty, she still possessed a graceful charm due to careful maintenance and was very confident in her appearance.

She shouted, "Aiden, you can't do this to me. Angelina will kill you when she finds out, and so will your father-in-law!"

Aiden paid no attention to her, as the toxin would be digested if he waited any longer, and that wouldn't be good. He promptly slapped Linda's back, directly hitting her stomach.

Linda felt her stomach churn and began to vomit. Upon seeing the undigested pills in the vomit, Aiden breathed a sigh of relief.

However, there was the sudden sound of the door opening, and Angelina and Harvey entered. When they witnessed the scene, Harvey became furious.

Aiden had one hand pressed against Linda's back while she struggled to get up.

Angelina noticed the vomit on the floor and shouted angrily, "Aiden, what do you have against me? Why did you use such force against my mother?"

Smack!

A crisp sound rang out as Linda, who had already stood up, slapped Aiden across the face and relentlessly shouted, "Harvey, this beast tried to assault me!"

"Aiden, I have misjudged you. How could you commit such a heinous act!" Harvey angrily pointed at Aiden and slapped him across the face.

Harvey was much stronger than Linda, and this slap caused blood to trickle from the corner of Aiden's mouth. The entire incident occurred in the blink of an eye, and Aiden was slapped twice before he could even explain himself.

"Dad, you've misunderstood. The health supplement that Mom took was toxic. I tried to persuade her, but she didn't listen, so I had no choice but to make her vomit using this method!" Aiden hurriedly explained when he saw Harvey getting angry.

Harvey was taken aback. "What did you say?"

"The health supplement is toxic!" Aiden repeated, pointing to the health supplements on the coffee table.

Following Aiden's gesture, Harvey looked at the coffee table and noticed an opened box of health supplements that contained several bottles. Angelina also glanced at the coffee table in surprise and quickly approached it, then picked up one of the bottles of health supplements to read the instructions.

After Harvey finished speaking, both Angelina and Linda were stunned.

"That's impossible!" Linda said. "Harvey, don't trick me into forgiving this worthless person!"

"Do you think I would do that? Hurry up and get dressed. We're going to the hospital!" Harvey scolded. "How many times do I have to say this? Don't trust these health products of yours!"

Linda was frightened by Harvey's appearance. It seemed that Corina was indeed hospitalized, so Linda hurriedly went to get dressed.

Angelina was also flustered and panicked as soon as she heard that Corina was being treated in the emergency room. "Mom, Dad, hurry up. I'll drive!"

Angelina and her parents rushed out of the house in no time, leaving Aiden standing alone.

Aiden chuckled self-deprecatingly and muttered to himself, "Oh, Aiden, see that? You had good intentions, but no one understood. Even after the truth had come out, no one even apologized to you!"

He sadly went upstairs and entered his room to pack his clothes.

This man looks so much like that worthless son-in-law of the Grays. How can he afford such a nice car?
