Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 82

Angelina glanced at the excited Helena and curiously asked, "Helena, did you regain your voice after Aiden pricked you with the needle?"

"He pricked me yesterday, and I lost my voice," Helena said with a look of grievance.

Upon hearing that, Angelina smiled and inquired, "Aiden, why did you prevent Helena from speaking?"

"She didn't obey my orders," Aiden replied indifferently.

Just as Helena was about to speak, she noticed Aiden playing with a golden needle and moved her lips, but didn't dare to speak.

Aiden snorted and said, "Continue memorizing your medical books."

After Aiden finished speaking, Helena immediately returned to the medical center and picked up the Compendium of Materia Medica to read.

Angelina observed Helena, feeling amused. Then, she sat next to Aiden and asked with a smile, "Is this how you discipline your employees?"

"Yes," Aiden nodded.

"How did you do it? Did you silence Helena just by pricking her with a needle?" Angelina asked curiously.

Aiden nodded with a smile.

Surprised, Angelina looked at him and asked, "Is this considered a medical skill?"

"Yes," Aiden replied, "Medical skills can save lives but also harm them."

While they were conversing, a middle-aged man entered while supporting an older woman.

"Are you here for a medical check-up or to get medicine?" Helena asked with a smile as soon as she saw the middle-aged man. Despite her disdain for Aiden, she was actually very good with patients.

"Is this Finnegan Medical Center?" the middle-aged man inquired.

Before Helena could speak, Aiden stood up and replied to the middle-aged man, "Come over here."

"So, you're the doctor?" the middle-aged man exclaimed, looking at Aiden with surprise.

With a smile, Aiden asked, "Don't I look like one?"

"Not at all," the middle-aged man replied seriously.

Upon hearing this, Aiden chuckled helplessly and said, "Then why did you come here?"

"The hospital couldn't cure my mother's illness," the middle-aged man explained with a somber expression.

However, the older woman beside him caressed his face and said, "Son, I'm already old. What regrets could I possibly have?"

"Sir, please take a look at my mother. I can give you all the money I had yesterday," the middle-aged man pleaded.

Then, Aiden gestured for the middle-aged man to have his mother sit before the consultation table.

"Madam, please extend your right hand," Aiden said with a smile.

The old woman hurriedly said, "Doctor, please don't call me 'madam.' I don't deserve to be addressed that way with my status."

"Madam, are you a farmer?" Aiden asked, completely disregarding her response.

Before the old woman could speak, the middle-aged man replied, "My mother has been farming in the countryside her whole life. Is it because of the hard work that she fell ill? It's all my fault. I went and joined the army when I was young and couldn't care for her, leaving her to suffer alone."

Aiden shook his head and assured the old woman, "Madam, in my opinion, farmers are the most respectable people because they have raised generations of individuals with their hardworking hands. Besides, your son is a soldier, so you're even more deserving of respect. So, being called 'Madam' is nothing to be ashamed of."

Aiden then helped the old woman to the consultation desk and said, "Madam, do you believe me now?"

"Are you sure you only want five dollars?" The old woman asked again.

Aiden nodded and smiled, "Yes, Madam. Please follow me to the treatment room. I will start with acupuncture for you."

Turning his head, he instructed Helena, "Helena, prepare a towel for me and come with me to the treatment room."

After hearing what Aiden said, Angelina also followed him into the treatment room.

Inside the treatment room, Aiden used the towel Helena prepared to cover his eyes. Then, he instructed, "Helena, expose the patient's lower back."

After the old woman spat out the blood, Aiden removed the golden needles from her lower back and announced, "It's done."

Angelina, who had been observing the entire process, was completely shocked. Only at this moment did she truly believe in Aiden's medical skills.

Once outside the treatment room, Aiden turned to the middle-aged man and said, "Make sure she takes this medication every three days. Once she finishes it, bring your mother for a follow-up checkup."

When the old woman exited the treatment room, the middle-aged man hurriedly approached her and asked, "Mom, how do you feel?"

"There's no more pain, not even a bit. He's truly a miraculous doctor," the old woman exclaimed excitedly.

For the past three years, she had been tormented by her abdominal pain, but the medical conditions back home were so poor that they couldn't even diagnose her illness.

She never expected to be cured at this medical center.
