Alpha Damon (Sienna) novel Chapter 336

Sienna:

The ground was alive.

Everything about its book Power spoke rage and spoke anger. It showed a demonstration of what was to happen if we were going to die, if we were going to give them to her, something that I refused to think would happen.

But now, it was not just shaking anymore, it groaned, cracking under our feet as the mist poured thicker and darker through the trees. The air was heavy with her presence. Every wolf on the line could feel her now.

Tatiana.

The woman who I thought myself to want to know. The lead that I now knew I wanted nothing to do with. The raging anger that I felt even knowing that I was related to her. For even thinking that I was considering it. Blood tied the two of us once, but it was once a memory before she had died.

She wanted to break us before the killing even started. Wanted us to scatter, to fall apart on our own before her creatures even touched us.

Not tonight.

No matter what was going to happen, I was not going to allow her to break everything that we fought to build our family, our pack, and our home, I was going to allow her to ruin that.

Even if it meant losing my own life for it, for my family and my love, for my Damon. For my child, who I knew was innocent of all of this, was still yet to live. Far too young to know any of this mess.

I strode to the front of the line, the cold wind whipping through my hair, my claws already extended. Damon was at my side, his golden eyes blazing, but he didn’t speak. He didn’t have to.

He was just as angry as I was, but he also knew this. I was not going to allow anyone to stop me from what I wanted to do. Not when it came to her. Not after all the damage that she had caused all of us.

This was mine.

This war was mine to take, at least along his side, along everyone else’s. He wanted to stop me, that I knew for a fact, but he also knew the danger that would happen if he tried. I was not going to listen. I was going to be stubborn.

The core wolves gathered behind me, the ones who still stood even after all of it. Bloodied, battered, but unbroken. I turned to face them, my voice sharp and clear through the storm.

“Look at me!”

The pack froze. Dozens of eyes lifted to mine. Fear swirled in their gazes. Doubt. But not defeat. Not yet. I was not going to allow them to give her that victory and I knew that and Damon understood that by just looking me in the eye.

“You feel her,” I said, my voice carrying into the fog. “I know you do. You feel the cold in your bones, the fear in your hearts. You see those creatures coming and you wonder if tonight is the night we fall. You see them and you fear her presence. You fear what is to come and what she can do. You fear the power that she opposes, and you fear the strength that she holds.”

I paused, letting my claws dig into the earth beneath me.
