Alpha Damon (Sienna) novel Chapter 37

“I don’t know what you think happened, but…”

Lysandra cut me off with a sharp glare. “I think you’re exactly what I’ve always thought you were, a pathetic little nobody who doesn’t understand her place. You just want to get your place in his heart. You think that by spending some time with him, he is going to soften towards you. I have to tell you this, that is something that you are going to dream about and it is only going to happen over my dead body.”

I exhaled slowly, willing myself to stay calm.

“I don’t want to fight with you, Lysandra.” I said, looking down at my feet, avoiding her eyes for a moment. “This is not the time for us to be arguing at all.”

She scoffed, taking another step forward, closing the space between us. “That’s because you know you’d lose. That’s because you know that you are no match to me. You are nothing but an Omega, an outcast. Who the hell do you think you are to tell me that you don’t want to get into an argument or a fight?”

My jaw tightened, but I held my ground.

“I already lost,” I said quietly, my voice steady. “I lost my home. I lost my freedom. I lost everything the moment I found out I was pregnant. But if you think I’m going to let you make me feel worse about it, you’re wasting your time. Now please get out of my way.”

Lysandra’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Please. Don’t act like you’re some tragic victim in all of this. You chose to spread your legs for Damon, and now you think you deserve some kind of sympathy? Do you really believe that he’s going to give you any of it? You don’t deserve it. Who the hell do you think you are? I am surprised by the guts that you’re having.”

My blood boiled at her words, but before I could respond, another voice interrupted.

“Enough.”

Damon.

His deep, authoritative voice cut through the tension like a blade, and I felt my entire body tense as I turned to see him standing at the end of the hall.

His gaze flickered between us, his jaw clenched, his expression unreadable.

Lysandra straightened, her anger momentarily shifting into something else, something more controlled.

“Damon,” she greeted smoothly, as if she hadn’t just been spewing venom at me seconds ago.

Damon’s eyes darkened. “I said enough. You are going to leave her alone, Lysandra.”

Lysandra looked like she wanted to argue, but she held her tongue, her lips pressing into a thin line. “I was only talking to her.”

I let out a slow breath, willing my hands to stop shaking.

Damon didn’t move for a long moment.

Then, finally, he looked at me.

“Go back to your room, Sienna.” He said, looking at me. “Isla going to be waiting for you.’

His voice was softer than before, but there was something firm beneath it, something final.

I didn’t argue. I didn’t have the energy to.

I just nodded and turned, walking away without another word.
