Ella’s POV
The night was young and the silver moon was high up in the eerie sky. Ella stood outside for a long time, her arms wrapped tightly around herself, wondering what would happen next.
Drake had told her what to do, but she wondered if it was the right thing.
She sighed as she turned quickly away from the balcony and went directly into her bedroom. She opened the cupboard, her fingers trembling slightly as she brought out a wrapped package, remembering the instructions from Drake. Her grip tightened momentarily around the package as she bit her lips.
She kept the wrapped package aside and reached for a bean sized flowered satchel. She opened it and took out a round yellow pill. Studying it briefly, she placed it on her tongue and allowed it to melt. It tasted like sea salt and spicy curry.
The pill caused her to feel dizzy for a moment, making her stagger backwards, she hurriedly gripped the wood of the cupboard for support, waiting for the spinning to stop. Slowly, the effect wore off after a while and Ella opened the wrapped package to reveal the incense sticks.
They smelled really nice.
Ella reached for the match and struck it, lighting the incense stick. She went around putting them in the four corners of her bedroom.
Their scent spread everywhere, seductive. Making her wonder what ingredient made it smell so ethereal, so heavenly. It was time.
She turned away, with the aim to step out of the bedroom and get her mates. But, a knock on the door caused her to halt mid strides.
The door to the bedroom opened and both of her mates walked in, worried and concerned.
She caught a surprised gasp in her throat by quickly biting on her tongue. Valen scanned her with his sharp crimson eyes. “I was just about to go to you both,” Ella whispered.
“And is that so?” Derek asked, shutting the door of the bedroom behind him. “Why?”
Ella Swallowed softly at his question, her throat suddenly going dry as she gathered the courage to lie.
“I am sorry.”
Silence reigned in the room at her sudden outburst.
Seeing their expression filled with shock and disbelief, Ella’s heart began to thud in her chest because of what she was about to do.
“The both of you were right. I should really be careful with Drake. He might not be what he seems.” She bowed her head low. “Ella…” Valen began, stepping forward.
“I’m sorry for countering the both of you.” She interrupted him, afraid of what he had to say. “I just got lost in my silly hopes of meeting my family, a…and.. and…” She allowed her voice to trail off, giving them the impression that she was vulnerable.
As expected, Valen was before her in a nanosecond. He reached for her and pulled Ella into his arms, his hold firm and protective.
“It is not your fault. We are sorry too, my love,” he said.
My love? This is the first time Valen is openly expressing his feelings, could it be the work of the incense or?
Their hands were all over her, making her mind go fuzzy. Valen’s tongue went deeper into her mouth. She was blinded by pleasure from all corners, not knowing where to focus.
Derek was biting her ears, sucking the skin of her neck, leaving hickeys that would embarrass her after this moment. And all she could do was moan their names.
Derek’s fingers slightly brushed over her forearms as he stepped closer, her back pressed against his chest. Ella felt his large bulge against her ass, pressing, needy. She shamelessly pressed her ass against his hard length, wriggling on his dick sensually.
“Ella,” Derek groaned, his voice filled with longing.
Valen pulled back just enough to meet her gaze.
“Ella, are you sure about this?”
Ella nodded, her voice caught in her throat, she didn’t know how her voice would come out if she opened her mouth to speak. “Come,” Valen said, taking her wrists.
“Come let me undress you.”
The gentleness in his voice made her quietly follow him as he led her deeper into the bedroom, her mind fogged with what’s about to happen and what would occur after that.
